"Why do you call it soulriders?"
"Because we grind your souls, hopes, and dreams down ... and ride the wave."

"I can't very well sell your ravages without it, now can I?" Moore says with a laugh.

He'll be a good person and clean up the cockroach and then go talk to Filbrez with his good friend Moonlight.

Anastasia

You find Filbrez is quite busy. Outside of his shop, no less. He and Vel are engaged in a staring contest, with Emerelda and Grenalous watching nearby. Along with a flock of people, "I don't care, the book sale was legitimate," Filbrez shoots off, "I'm not giving you a cut of the profits!"

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Oh dear.

Moore flies over towards the two. "I'm sorry, what's going on here?"

Inwardly, it doesn't really matter, as long as he can smooth over the emotions here.

Anastasia

Vel grunts and crosses his arms, giving Filbrez a stony look. The half mercane whirls and stomps off at your intercession, retreating from his store.

"Bruised egos," Emerelda calls, "Bickering over books, Moore."

"We're all friends here." Moore says. "There's no need to let something like this get between the both of you, it sends a bad message to the patrons of either store and sets a bad precedent going forward." He adds, voice suddenly coming in with a bit of authority. "I'll have the same discussion with Filbrez, but I hope you can find a way past this that doesn't let ill feelings linger, Vel."

Anastasia

Go ahead and make Diplomacy since you're being all interventionist pixie.

Filbrez agrees with a quiet murmur of, "Yes, yes, the show's over." he says, the crowd starting to disperse.

"Now then, Moore, do you have business for me?"

It seems I got confused as to who left and who was still there, but so it goes.

"Yes, as I told you a bit ago, I'd like to set up selling Moonlight's ravages in Brightwater. We think the best thing to do would be to find someone to sell them on our behalf, but we'd drum up the business ourselves. Do you know anyone reputable there who won't charge us two ogre heads worth of coins for the privileged to sell our wares and won't take too much off the top for themselves? I have a feeling we can't get both 'reputable' and 'not stingy' in the same one, but you never know."

Anastasia

"I can do that, but let me know what your budget is and how permanent a setup you're looking for," Filbrez says.

"I think we're going to go all in." Moore says with a look to Moonlight. "I'd like this to be a venture with long-term gains in mind for Aurora, because I think we could drum up a lot of business and allies if we give it our all. I personally only have about 5000 gold to my name, but I still have a writ from Brightwater with 38,000 left on it, so we can go far with that if needed."

Anastasia

Filbrez hums, "Fortunately, this may be a venture I'll become a silent partner in. Perhaps to the tune of...10,000 gold?"

"What do you want out of this for your investment, then?" Moore asks. There's no incredulity in his voice, just curiosity.

Anastasia

"A healthy return, of course," Filbrez says, "I'm buying equity and expect a fair return based on the percentage of funds I provide to start the business."

Moore nods. "All right. I mean, worst case scenario, I know where you live, after all." He grins at that. "All right, so you'll chip in 10,000. I can use the writ as needed as well and we'll figure out where to go from there. So who do you suggest we start with?"
