Nymph interlude (Afina)

"We haven't even planned for what to do if it's in good faith," Afina shakes her head. "Once Jaela comes back she'll oversee planning for the event and any contingencies."

[Anastasia]

"Very well," Ilsenine says, "Good luck and good fortune to Aurora for this."

Any plans in the meantime, Afina?

[Ebiris]

I'm waiting for Jaela to get back at this point so I'll just hang around Aurora doing general things

[Anastasia]

This soon takes Afina to the forges, as she does much there. She finds Gold there with another, one you've met once or twice in passing - Hamogan. He turns to you and brings his hands together in a clap, "Afina," The psion greets you, "Do you have a minute?"

[Ebiris]

"Of course, Hamogan," Afina says, fluttering away from the requisitions board towards the psion. "What can I do for you?"

[Anastasia]

"Are you interested in any psionic items?" Hamogan asks, "I wish to spread awareness of them through Aurora. You using one would spread knowledge of them greatly."

[Ebiris]

"I don't actually have enough funds to have anything meaningful made right now," Afina admits. "Nor am I very familiar with psionics. Can you give examples of the sort of abilities they'd have? If anything sounds useful I'll put in an order as soon as I can afford it."

[Anastasia]

Hamogan goes right on.

"There are things that benefit any and all in psionic crafting, just as there are with magic items. For yourself, I would recommend a psychoreactive skin, as they spread out over the entire body and do not conflict with other magical items. There are many different effects to choose from and others can be customized. They are somewhat like ioun stones, but the full body coverage makes them superior for effects that cover the whole body. Compare a ring of regeneration to a skin of the troll."

"You can't just ignore aesthetics, though," Afina says, not sold on the concept. Maybe a skin-tight catsuit sort of thing works for people with certain physiques, but not for her. "For the same reason I very rarely turn myself invisible even though it's simple and innate for a pixie. My visible presence is heartening to our allies and a challenge to our enemies, and similarly my prismatic skin is a declaration of my unique nature."

Also when you rely on being invisible you get rudely surprised by anyone with blindsense or true seeing, both of which are fairly common at the level she fights at.

[Anastasia]

"Then would you consider a psionic tattoo? They are akin to self activated and worn scrolls, except you do not need any psionic ability to use them."

[Ebiris]

"Does the tattoo vanish after use?" Afina asks, because she doesn't really want to mar her perfect prismatic skin in any sort of permanent fashion.

[Anastasia]

"Yes," Hamogan says, "They can also be moved about your body as you desire until they are used."

[Ebiris]

"Well, if they're like scrolls they won't be much use offensively but I can see what's available for augmenting or utility effects," Afina considers. "Oh!" she straightens up a bit as she remembers some useful items she picked up recently. "What about psionic potion equivalents? Or do either of you two happen to know anyone that can make potions more powerful than third circle effects?"

[Anastasia]

Hamogan smiles, "As a matter of fact, I know someone who can do that. It's a rare talent and masters of this are highly valued."

[Ebiris]

"I don't have the money to properly take advantage but if you could provide an introduction later it would be helpful," Afina says. "I obtained some Dragonmarrow from Emerelda which I'd like to use on suitably powerful potions to make the best use of."
