How would IUS work with it? Would it let the bear get a normal unarmed strike in and then follow it with its other natural attacks? (i.e. I am reverse-engineering a kung-fu bear sort of)

Anastasia

Yes, in theory. In reality is is really pushing the cognitive ability of an animal. I'd rule it would take a trick or two to sort out.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

I really don't mind holding off on actually putting this into play until our next level up. It might make more narrative sense to go with a celestial animal, which then avoids a lot of the "ehhhhh I dunno if that makes sense..." issues and then it's more than just 'wow where did this animal come from all of a sudden'. We've got most of the work done at this point anyway.

Since it came up, Moore is going to help Sylvie with the prismatic wall stuff. If you want to actually do that IC we can, otherwise we can just say he spends a few days helping.

Anastasia

That's all OOC stuff, though we'll have a short scene there.

Woof. Hours of helping and spellcasting leave you drained. Sylvie wipes her brow when it's done, a simple spell cleansing her. "Enough of that for today," she says.

"At least it's different than book-diving for hours." Moore offers. "Though I'm pretty sure I could go another while without seeing anymore colors."

Anastasia

Before Sylvie can reply, "HEY!" Balyss calls, waving and approaching. "Are you finally done making rainbows?"

That gets Sylvie to perk up a bit, "Yeah, for today. What's up?"

"I'm here for Moore," Balyss says, "Moore, I need your body!"

Moore opens his mouth to say something, then closes it.

...Then he opens his mouth again and then closes it a second time.

A third time comes around and something in the back of his mind spurs him along. "I have so many questions." Is what he manages to get out.

Anastasia

Sylvie looks around, "Oh good, Ilsenine's not around. You want to try that again, in a way that's not going to provoke trouble?"

Balyss smiles, "Well, more accurately, both Afina and I need your body," Balyss has a cute little smirk on her face, "Can you help both of us?"

"That only raises even more questions!" Moore exclaims.

He lets out a breath. "Sylvie, you're the best witness for this since no one can claim you're fibbing. If something happens to me, I was innocent, okay?" He turns back to Balyss. "Yes, of course I'll help with whatever you need."

Anastasia

"Are you kidding? I'm not going to miss this, I'll watch," Sylvie says, starting to chuckle.

"It's not like that," Balyss says, coming over and ruffling your hair. "I've been trying Afina to eat heartier meals, develop some more. Most pixies aren't anything remotely like her or so strong, so I want to give you a physical, see if your baselines have changed. It might be useful."

"Oh, sure." Moore nods.

That -sounds- simple enough...

What follows is an hour of being checked, poked, prodded, studied and analyzed. It's quiet during this, Balyss making observations and Sylvie taking notes.

"Strong, responsive reflexes," Balyss says, "No signs of defects or damages. His hearing's slightly better than Afina's, I think, at least naturally."

Sylvie scribbles away, "Uh huh. Anything related or useful? Not everyone's born with the same ears."

"Mm." Balyss works further, eyes glowing and red veins latticed over her gaze. "Afina's built slight by pixie standards, and they aren't in the running for being thick or well built in any case. I'd say Moore's closer to the average. Moore, how much do you eat per day?"

"Uh..." Moore thinks. "I'm not sure how to answer that, I guess the average amount? Sometimes I do forget and eat a little later."
