"Unless you're unlucky, it's easy enough," Sylvie says, "We can portal to a random part of the Styx and get a water sample." She flashes you a smile, "If nothing goes wrong, that's less than 5 minutes of work."

"I find myself wherever I need to be, whether that's luck or not is up to your perspective." Moore says with a nod. "All right. Hmm... I can't really think of anything specific to use to put the water in, I don't think it really makes much of a difference, do you? I'm sure it'll erode, no matter what it is."

Anastasia

"Get a simple container for now, just make sure it's something that can be sealed and is sturdy," Sylvie says thoughtfully, humming, "Don't risk being exposed."

Moore nods. "Let's meet up at the gates in 10 minutes?" He asks.

He will go find the most sturdy thing he can -- probably some sort of reinforced potion glass with a sealer -- one with a handle, of course, so it's easier to use to dip into the inevitable river!

He'll also stop by the arch for the normal protections and so on.

Anastasia

Anything magical or just generically reinforced?

If we have something magically reinforced that would be great!

Anastasia

Can be done. Preferences? Wanna sink any money into it?

Sure, let's say 200 gold for something really nice. I'll post the expense.

Anastasia

Bump it to 250 for the category you're in, but otherwise okay. That a problem?

Anastasia

Yeah, I figured. Sorry to eat up a post with that, but sometimes the DM has to do that.

It's a sturdy steel container, one that has a long bar of iron attached, about 10 feet long. It has an open end for dipping and a lightly enchanted cap to seal it airtight.

"That should do," Sylvie says as you stand in Aurora's courtyard. "Whatever you do, don't fall in or get splashed."

"Trust me, I don't do this with a willingness to lose any memories." Moore says with certainty. "I'll trust your judgement on where we should go, but I can get us there if you need me to."

Anastasia

"Aim for the Styx on any top layer of a Lower Plane. Besides Hell, too risky." Sylvie glances over at you.

Moore nods and Greater Plane Shifts them both!

OOC I don't know what a Lower Plane is but Moore will just pick one at random and aim as instructed.

Gehenna it is. See IRC for the details.

Gehenna's heat assails you right away. You stand atop a canyon's outer lip, a step away from plunging thousands of feet down. Below you, amid the glow of open veins of lava and sizzling heat, is a massive river. It's choked with rapids and plunging cliffs that turn it into waterfalls. There's no real banks to the river, the walls of the canyon rise straight up from the river, not even a slope to precariously balance on.

Sylvie points down, "That's it." She starts to fly down, "On guard, we may have been noticed entering."
