Anyway, after an IRC discussion that involved phase door, the precise definition of walls in a structural sense and a bunch of other stupid pedantry, I've made the following houserule in regards to phase door.

Phase Door: This spell can be applied to any solid surface and need not be a wall. Measures that stop ethereal travel stop this spell.

Go ahead and revise if this alters anything, you two, or give me an all clear post.

If we can use phase door then let's, we can disintegrate more ground if that doesn't lead us to our goal.

Yeah, my cone of cold can stand to solidify the magma so we're all clear on the phase door plan.

Okay then. How far does phase door go down?

All of you step through the phase door.

Ahead is black, solid stone, little rills of magma glowing and providing faint light all along it.

Can I sense any creatures within my 200 feet blindsight?

[Anastasia]

Does your blindsight penetrate solid rock?

It does not. Sorry, where are we? I assumed we were in some sort of passage made of that black stone you mentioned, are we in some sort of bubble between magma and a wall of that stuff, or what?

"I'll disintegrate to the left and down," Jaela tells Afina. "Aim right and down, and we'll create ourselves a bit of a breathing space?"

Oh, fair enough.

You look around and see you're in a bubble, just big enough for the three of you and a little more. Rock surrounds you.
