It's an enjoyable read but challenging. There's lore in here, but you're pretty sure it's going to take time and effort to extract it and gain any benefits.

Well, I'd keep at it until there's a time change or whatever to work on the translation spell.

"This is very interesting... I think it's going to require a lot of time, however. There's a few things I need to take care of. I need to get that translation spell finished. If I can do it, we may be able to get a lot more use out of the slaad. It's also the first step in my plans for my scales."

That was mostly Surraruthru just messing with Baleruk, but I'll put some effort into it before I leave. I figure some research on truenames and then try to combine it with a spell that induces Synesthesia. I'm not sure about the chaos part, but I guess something with that, too, trying to have it feed off the Chaotic part of my Chaotic Good alignment. After that, I'll check to see if anyone wants to go with me or if I can get 27 to help me deal with Limbo.

Okay, cool. First of all, write up a spell that does what you want and we'll work with there. Being a bit vague or indistinct is fine, this is feeling it out and what you want to try and accomplish.

So basically the spell makes you bugfuck nuts so you can communicate to fellow beings that are also bugfuck nuts?

Basically. It uses the common thread of chaos to make you see the world the same way. You communicate with the slaad and then suppress or cancel the spell or whatever so you can talk normally to others. Or whatever way you think is best.

Okay. Are you actually going to test the spell at all?

I was figuring I'd try it with 27 since he's the only Slaad around.

Finding 27 isn't that hard. He's curled up on Hanna's bed, about the size of her and stirs as you enter. He peers at you but makes no other motion.

Go ahead and cast the spell if you're going to.
