We'll begin OOC for this one.

Okay, a few questions. First of all, who is going besides the five of you, if anyone? Second of all, what sort of prep? Third, anything else that needs to be noted before this begins?

Last call for purchases before Gar-Malleos. Go make them now if you need anything.

Surru, what is your tapestry going to look like here, since that's a big part of the boosting game.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Moore will have the following cast on himself:

Foresight (CL27), Greater Improvisation (CL27), Righteous Halo (CL16)

He can cast other things on the rest as necessary, such as Surge of Hope and so on if it doesn't conflict with tapestry buffs.

Ebiris

Afina will still have most of the longer duration buffs from when we went after Quinn. She'll eat at the cafeteria to restore some temp hp as well.

Is there anything special we're expecting? Unusual stuff we know about? Like... I dunno, is this happening with abnormal plane stuff like the negative plane effects? Do we know if they specialize in acid or something? Basically, anything I need to plan for that we already know about.
This is not the greatest post in the world, no... this is just a tribute.

Ebiris

It's on Lifasa, though on a ley line nexus so there may be weird persistent effects. Silvber specialises in hellfire direct damage and dark speech charm/domination effects, and he has a bunch of nessian pit fiend bodyguards. They like hellball slas which do lots of elemental damage, though they usually make it unholy or vile damage anyway to get by resistances.

Iron Dragoon

The following are the basic ones. I can throw in a Magic Circle Against Evil, but that's 10min/level, so it'd be 300 minutes. I suggest that be cast immediately before combat instead. That may help against the Hellfire since it has the Evil descriptor. Maybe?
I can't really do much against unholy or vile, as far as I'm aware. If anyone knows of a spell to help that, let me know.

Tapestry:
Elemental Body (fire) CL 28, 28 hour duration
Spoiler: ShowHide
You have the benefits of the attune form spell with respect to the appropriate element. If you choose a water body, for example, you can breathe normally on waterdominant planes.
You are immune to poison, sleep, paralysis, and stunning, and are not subject to extra damage from critical hits or flanking. You gain darkvision out to 60 feet.
Your creature type remains unchanged, so you are unaffected by spells that target elementals, but you gain the air, earth, fire, or water subtype depending on the elemental substance you chose.
Fire: Fire immunity, burn (those you hit in melee and those who attack you with natural weapons must make a Reflex save or catch fire, with a save DC equal to that of a fire elemental of the same size).

Surraruthru's Stupendous Dragonskin, CL 28, 28 hour duration

Self:
Epic Mage Armor CL 28, 24 hour duration
Spoiler: ShowHide
An invisible but tangible field of force surrounds the subject of epic mage armor, providing a +20 armor bonus to Armor Class. Unlike mundane armor, epic mage armor entails no armor check penalty, arcane spell failure chance, or speed reduction. Because epic mage armor is made of force, incorporeal creatures can't bypass it the way they do normal armor.

Moment of Prescience CL 28, 28 hour duration
Spoiler: ShowHide
This spell grants you a powerful sixth sense in relation to yourself. Once during the spell's duration, you may choose to use its effect. This spell grants you an insight bonus equal to your caster level (maximum +25) on any single attack roll, opposed ability or skill check, or saving throw. Alternatively, you can apply the insight bonus to your AC against a single attack (even if flat-footed). Activating the effect doesn't take an action; you can even activate it on another character's turn if needed. You must choose to use the moment of prescience before you make the roll it is to modify. Once used, the spell ends.

Bibliotheca Arcana, CL 28, 24 hour duration
Spoiler: ShowHide
You gain a +15 insight bonus to all knowledge checks and may make knowledge checks untrained. This knowledge extends to knowledge of your own life. You you have perfect recall of your own memories for the duration of the spell. Effects that change your memories, such as modify memory or mindrape, are suppressed for the duration of the spell. You gain the ability to read and speak all languages during this time, as if affected by a comprehend languages and tongues spell. Finally, you may instantly absorb the information of any written material you touch, as if by a scholar's touch spell. For the duration of the spell, you have perfect recall of the material read in this manner.

Thing of note. The memory crystal tree. I need to retrieve the crystal from the dude in the Grond's library with Sylvie. The tree's supposed to be planted into a ley line. I figure since we're going to one anyway, I could pop out, get it, finish the tree, and then hit the ley line. Once we finish the battle, or even during it, I could plant it and let it do its work. Input?

Edit: The ritual and everything has already been completed, I just need to retrieve the crystal and get the ritual complete. Dune? Ideas on a number of hours that would take and how it fits into the attack schedule?

<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Okay, so did you all work things out. Who is going precisely? There was some chatter over Tryll's downtime, so let's hash that out as well as Surru's crystal thing, if possible.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

My understanding is we're doing this on t minus 83 days to accommodate Surrurathru's stuff that he did on t minus 84, but that Moore and Tryll have been doing their own stuff that has pushed them on to t minus 77 or something so they're in the future and thus can't take part? They'd need to confirm since it's not really my lookout to be keeping track of everyone else's flow of time.

Nephrite

My compromise to keep the ritual from still taking a week was for Tryll to spend the next 6 days after the ritual (83-77) on the rebuilding and for Moore to be available. If this isn't feasible or Moore's participation in the ritual did indeed take a week then he's not available for anything until day 77.

Anastasia

We'll work with that, then. That leaves Yuth at loose ends and with Surru's tree project, which I notably didn't get done (read as: forgot about since this was a weekend of stuff for me) so lemme see if Iddy pokes in anytime before session or if we'll have to wing that.

Yuth, you're off today so poke on IRC and I'll chat with you directly. If you can't, say so and we'll handle this over in nagging instead.

This has come up once or twice in passing, but worth noting again. The very few sources of instant death in Balmuria are generally deific things, usually intermediate or greater deities. If you have the extreme misfortune to run into those, death ward doesn't help. Adding immunity to death effects in the description of it doesn't really apply in this particular game. As those ID effects are the domain of deities and beyond the normal scope of how 3.5 considers instant death, death ward and the like don't impact them.

Canderella will offer epic mage armor if Afina isn't handing it out.

Mei uses heavenly blessing to give everyone 52 temporary hit points.
