The voice and being mysterious? That's very Selune and it is the Gates of the Moon. However, Selune isn't said to talk about herself in the third person like she did here, so that doesn't fit.  It's not impossible she just chose to for whatever reason, but it suggests it may be someone different. A powerful servant perhaps, or another deity? Nothing quite fits here.

Alyssa settles on it being an allied diety... Forn now. Perhaps more than just Shaundakul makes their residence in the Gates of the Moon... But that doesn't rule out some sort of trechery. In any case, she wanders again, figuring one last shot before returning to the Order.

You walk along. "Hoophf," A grunt as a hale and hearty middle aged man walks next to you, gray hair and beard bushy. "I thought you might show up, spreading your wings. Now I don't just show up for anyone, Alyssa, but you're special." He's in traveling clothes and carries a walking stick with him, using it as he goes along.

Alyssa bows her head to the god, but doesn't break her stide.

"Lord Shaundakul. Thank you for letting me travel with you. I have questions and conundrums."

[Anastasia]

"Speak," Shaundakul says, "I have questions for you as well, Alyssa. But go first," he bids.

[Iron Dragoon]

"The most immediate one, then: do I take the Red Knight's offer? I'm still unsure what she truly gains out of a deal with me, other than having a tether on me."

[Anastasia]

"The Red Knight works to take any gambit she can and make it to her advantage," Shaundakul says, "For you see, she knows any plan as they are made. Fortunately, she treats those she deals with fairly and justly." Walking steadily, just fast enough to keep you moving at a good clip, "She asked me, I gave her permission. We both want to know what happened to you."

Alyssa nods. "Very well, then. I suppose this changes things. No more the scholar-explorer. Now... I don't know. Explorer-General? Scholar-General? I see my days of searching ruins and chasing horizons dwindling."

[Anastasia]

"A cruel fate," Shaundakul agrees, peering ahead to the horizon before looking at you. "May I see your memories of what happened to you, Alyssa?"
