Dunno exactly. Part of what I wanted to talk about. Rituals with Cooperative spell? Not sure which spells would be best to accomplish what.

Well, let me ask you something. What spells or items as written could accomplish these things? Do you have any ideas?

Arcane Order Upgrades/Defenses:

Anti-Scrying.

Well, Mage's Private Sanctum, Screen, and Mind Blank all do it. Of those three, some sort of mass mind blank or field of mind blank would be the most reliable, but the most plausable is a area wide Mage's Private Sanctum. It's a 30-ft cube per level, so depending on the size of the islands and how many mages we can get in the Cooperative Spell circle for it, it's possible. Alyssa can pull off a 900 cu.ft. area solo, and each mage in the circle adds a 30 cu.ft. area to that, in addition to each mage's casting of it. So, clever placement could feasibly cover a significant area, but we haven't gone into how big the islands or living/working spaces are. It's also Abjuration.

Sceen's got the same area coverage, but it's an Illusion, so it's less reliable?

Anti-Teleporting or teleport delay or teleport redirection.

Dimensional Lock is most probable here, but I'd need to find a way to key it to our members so they could still zip around. It's a 20 ft radius, so I'd need to do some sort of massive array for it.

Fast redeployment.

Something like Evacuation Rune or a wide area arraTeleportational Teleportion, I think.

Perhaps some sort of alignment or patron deity detection.

Some sort of Detect Evil variant? Not entirely sure here. Detect patron variant?

Zone of peace type effect. Alarming or marking a person who does violence/murder.

Something like Zone of Peace with contingency built in? Not sure how to word things for this. Maybe something like... If you attack someone, the teleport array immediately puts in you a holding cell for processing?

Dome of force/prismatic effect.

Seems straight forward. Superhuge Prismatic Sphere or the like. Force Sphere as a second layer?

Let's just go down the list, I suppose. Anti-scrying.

"Hmmm..." Madala eyes your proposals, "The money for permanency is exorbitant, and the other two require considerable custom spell work," she says. It's a meeting of the regents, Madala there first by the luck of the draw.

"It is, which is why it hasn't been done already. However with Shar involved, it might be time to give it serious and honest consideration. Even outside of Shar herself, the fact that Malcanthet sent an envoy means other powers are looking at us."

Yorel and Ule are next...and Emily follows, "Um, hi," she pokes her head in, "Can I help out with this?"

Madala glances at her coolly, but doesn't open her mouth for once.

"... I... am not opposed to it, specifically. But neither is it entirely up to me. I imagine that the council is a bit wary of someone new and who is not a member of the Order having access to the casting of our defenses. That said, in what way do you wish to help? You don't have the training to join in on our spell circles, yet."

"Um, permanency's expensive to cast, isn't it?" Emily asks. "Unless you know how to cast spells without expensive components. I do."

Alyssa glances at the others...

"I can as well, though having others who can do so is very helpful. Regent Council? Giving her access to the casting of defenses is something that requires approval from more than just myself, unless you wish to leave this matter entirely up to me?"

[Anastasia]

Ule shakes his head. "For free? No objection."

Nods all around at that, Yorel adding, "Free is the best price and it's only prudent."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Well then, congratulations, Emily. It seems the miserly nature of the council has afforded you acceptance. We'll need to get you some training so that you can join a spell circle, but once we do, your help will speed things along quite nicely."

[Anastasia]

"Thanks," Emily brightens at that, "Glad to help!"

So how much do you want to cover with sanctums?

Ideally, everything. I guess the main living, experimentation, and teleport areas for now if that's not possible.
