Alas, Moore has not yet perfected the art of the celerity spell.

The creature leers at all of you as Romiel gasps, pulling out his blade and gliding backwards. He passes through the wall as if it wasn't there, Romiel falling to a knee, a hand to his chest.

Cresiel.

"An attack to inspire fear," Cresiel's voice is grim, "We will not tolerate it." He goes to the window and flies out and through the glass, uncaring as he does his best to follow.

Romiel holds his hand to his chest and...

> roll 1d20+28
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 41 > [d20=13]

The wound does not heal. A murmured prayer and yet the wound does not heal as Kaja follows, "Watch him!" he snaps back to Moore, already leaping out the window, following.

Archon guards rush in at the same time, Romiel says, "A creature called a gloom attempted to assassinate me. Full alert! Find it and capture it if possible, slay it otherwise-guh!"

> roll 1d20+37
<Serith> Kotono roll for Serith < 55 > [d20=18]

Romiel coughs up blood but stands steadfast as...

Go.

Take 10 on Heal for 54 if appropriate here, using 15 Greater Improvisation points. Do I know enough to say if something like a Wish spell could get rid of the poison as opposed to a standard healing spell? 10 on Spellcraft for 69 if that answer comes via magical knowledge instead.

Anastasia

This is a cursed poison, Rot of the Mires. It destroys the ability to move and has been highly refined for added toxicity. The fact that Romiel's fighting it off is remarkably fortunate. Augmented like this, it usually strikes again and again until it leads to permanent, full body paralysis.

Curing it requires holy ground and a lot of magic power. A heal, wish or miracle would suffice.

Moore takes a breath. If there ever was a time to finally do this...!

"ERATHAOL!"

Using Wish to try and get rid of the poison.

#351
[22:53] <Nephrite> roll 1d20+30
[22:53] <Serith> Nephrite roll for Serith < 41 > [d20=11]

Here's hoping it gets a small bonus because of using wish and not just heal!

Anastasia

There is a sharp gasp from Romiel as stinking black water leaks from his wound, dissolving in the air. The wound then rapidly begins to close, Romiel rising with a wince. "Cursed poison," he murmurs, "Cresiel may have the right of it in part, for that attack was so forward as to suggest terror as a motive as much as lethality."

Outside you can hear commotion, guards hurrying about. A squad of seven astral devas hurry in, establishing a perimeter around the room and covering the windows.

"I will not hide," Romiel declares, "I will command from the courtyard. Come." He heads to the window as well, and with a smile that makes him seem far more youthful than his countless years, "My son's always needed someone who can help when he gets a bit impulsive and charges ahead."

"His mother thought we were lovers." Moore responds, almost immediately, as if the severity of the situation was entirely dispersed now.

"My magic won't be useful for a while, but I can do a lot of other things without it." Moore says.

Anastasia

A sidelong glance, "Cresiel is not interested in men," he says, "She should know better." That's all he says as he flies along, hurrying.

Following?

"Yes, she thought he was gallivanting as a woman." Moore explains as he goes after him.

You fly down, the courtyard in organized chaos, soldiers moving about, the gates shut. "Report!" Romiel declares as he lands.

> roll 1d100 higher the better
<Rei-chan> Kotono rolled : 1d100 higher the better --> [ 1d100=98 ]{98}

"Sir," A trumphet archon kneels, "Sir Cresiel and his companion are leading a chase after the assassin, as Sir Cresiel was able to prevent extraplanar means of escape."

"I have means of teleportation." Moore says. "What direction? Perhaps we can catch him from two sides."
