Nephrite

Fair enough. In that case, Moore and Kaja can go.

Anastasia

Have you ever been before?

If not, are you just blind aiming or aiming for anywhere in particular there?

<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

No. If we got any sort of directions within Balmuria (like a suburban neighborhood or whatever) we'll go there, otherwise we'll just go with the center of the city and rely on good old-fashioned talkies to find him.

Anastasia

Thus the two of you appear just outside of Balmuria.

The city itself is large and vast, a stout wall surrounding the outer reaches of a city to the north. The air is fresh and clean, far cleaner than you'd expect for a city. A sea breeze blows, the scent of the ocean in the air. Ahead buildings rise and farther away you can spot the masts of ships.

A road is nearby, people coming and going. Carts, wagons, horses and those on foot all proceed along to manned gates, where people are admitted.

Kaja takes a breath, "Tolerable," he remarks, "The last Prime city I was in stunk like shit and sweat."

Moore smiles and gives Kaja a nod. "I think this is one of the nicer ones. I'm not too intimate with the particular history of Balmuria, but I've heard it mentioned a few times."

A moment to consider before he nods and starts to head towards the gates. "I think we should just be upfront that we're here to see the child prodigy. If the guards don't know what we're talking about then we can ask around -- this can't exactly be a well-kept secret at this point." Moore ventures.

The wait to get into the city is uneventful. The guards give the two of you a look, "Purpose for entering the city?" One asks, giving you a look but nothing more. You get more eyes from people in the line, some whispers but not much else, nothing overt.

"We're here to see the child prodigy who has mastered both magical as well as martial arts in the blink of an eye." Moore says.

Anastasia

"Huh, haven't heard that one, but it's not illegal," the guard says, standing aside.

"Thank you." Moore says as he passes on by.

He turns to Kaja. "Well, we'll probably have to do some digging, but leave that to me. I'm a pretty good investigator."

Intent will be to either GI by just asking around or doing digging via K:L (Balmuria) or whatnot.

Anastasia

Go ahead and make GI through a Diplo check.

It takes some digging, but you hear a few whispers - all connected to something called Whimsical Sweets. That a child with great power is connected to them somehow.

Time to make a trip to a confectionmancer's!

"I feel like I've heard that name before, but... I don't know if it was just offhand from someone in Aurora or from something else." Moore says. "Either way, we have a solid lead."

If there aren't directions readily available he'll ask around.
