Alyssa motions them to stop and whispers, "Something wet and sludgy ahead. Possibly oozes."

[Anastasia]

"Possibly," Jarem whispers back, "You any good at sneaking, Queen?"

"Hopefully you are, stalking's never been my strong suit," Emily leans in to whisper.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa grins. "I'm... Passable. You have an idea?"

[Anastasia]

"Find out what it is so we can work out a plan rather than go in blind," Jarem smiles back, "Strategy, Queen, strategy!"

[Iron Dragoon]

"I was asking if you had something more specific in mind than just the basics, oh great strategist. But yes, I'll scout, I suppose."

Alyssa turns to Emily, "If you can't manage stealth on your skill, consider a spell that does some sort of shadow-melding and silence, perhaps. Invisibility is fairly easy to beat, but a shadow cloak of some sort might prove more difficult."

With that, she hurries off to stealthily scout!

I'd probably stick close to the ceiling and stick to corners and shadows, using handholds to steady myself while flying via my weightless ability.

[Anastasia]

Ahead you see it. A vast chamber, a riased platform where gold, jewels and brighter things yet are stacked. A great heap of them, but there's more. A thing lies near it - a blob of black ooze with the occasional white spot on it, perhaps the size of Hanna or so. It is not moving or immediately reacting to anything.

Alyssa studies it, trying to identify what it is and what abilities and weaknesses it might have.

Also, Alyssa has no idea what a Hanna is.

I know, it's a meta joke. Don't worry about it.

It is not an ooze, no ooze looks like this. It could be unique, but something else pings you. This is a raw blob of pure chaos-stuff, potential slowly growing into who knows what. What it will become is a mystery, though from its size it's pretty close to becoming whatever it'll become.

Alyssa backs off, heading back to Jarem and Emily, running knowledge through her mind, trying to come up with a counter or way to render it inert.
