You can hear a dull rumbling from the clogged up passage you came from, a few little bits of snow coming unloose and gently falling into the water.

"More snow and ice coming. Gotta keep moving!" Calleigh says.

'Clock just started, Dana. More avalanche is coming. Come back up.'

'Fine, it's nothing anyway,' Dana says, emerging. "Which way?'

The rumbling is becoming more audible.

'Let's head for the north passage. It's closer.'

Dana climbs right up, as if the icy surface is a casual rock climb rather than an icy hellscape. "C'mon, I'll carve footholds and make sure to toss something down for the rest of you motherfuckers," she calls, as...WHHHHOOOOOOOMMMPPPPPP!

The way you came explodes with ice and snow, gushing into the lake and causing the waters to ripple hugely. Fortunately you all are warded sufficiently against cold now, though some are tossed around.

There's some fairly hard but doable climb checks here, but they're taking ten and getting aid from Dana, who has full ranks in climb. So there's not much point in posting rolls.

As the rest of the partly slowly makes it up? You see this passage goes down, into a sheer, transparent ice tube beneath the surface of the river, sloping down like a great slide. Soft, white snowflakes glitter in the air, falling and yet no accumulating on the icy surfaces ahead.
