Skeletons dot everything here: A coliseum littered with skeletons frozen over all about, vast and large. The stands have more skeletons, broken and entombed in ice forevermore. Skulls are locked in rictus screams, bony hands reaching up, as if salvation from the frost can be found in the sky. Other skeletons lie on the ground, broken and frozen over. Weapons and armors dot about, in various means of frozen over decay and damage.

Run.

There is a grated gate on the far end, leading within. There's various passages dotted about the stands. There's no sky - a cover of thick ice blocks any easy exit through the air. Skeletons of great flying beasts can be seen within that cover, flash frozen mid flight.

Run now.

Calleigh elects to return to the group!
What if they're not stars at all? What if the night sky is full of titanic far-off lidless eyes, staring in all directions across eternity?

Anastasia

Calleigh's trip back is uneventful.

Go ahead.

Tryll explains what Calleigh saw, 'So we have a likely gauntlet or something that we'll have to fight through. Thoughts?'

"It seems so empty," Benyen frowns, "It's going to animate when we go there?"

"Probably," Debonah says, "Unless we've found something completely unrelated, and I doubt that considering how well defended this place is. No, this is intentional and probably a defense."

'Magic lazers flying, then?' Calleigh asks.

"La..ser?" Miranda asks, frowning. "What is that?" Aloud, no less. She clears her throat softly and goes silent, blushing.

'Yeah, the fuck's a fucking laser flying shit?' Dana chimes right in.

'It's a story. We had this guy like a hundred years ago who was kidnapping villagers and sacrificing them to some weirdo evil god thing and then sewing them together and reanimating them and it was all super gross so we figured out where he was and set all his stuff on fire and when we confronted him he went on this long rant about how we couldn't stop him because he was the GREAT AND POWERFUL LAZARIM but halfway through his speech Tryll shot him in the face with a disintegration ray and instead of LAZARIM he said LAZurrrrr and then he fell down and I liked the word so I'm keeping it.' Calleigh says.

The booze in Las Vegas was that good, huh?

'Regardless,' Debonah says, 'Let's move.'

'Let's.' Tryll says, floating forward.

Thus the party reaches the iced over grate without incident. The question is simple: How does everyone get past it?

Tryll takes a good look at the gate. looking to see if it's attached to anything or if removing it will cause things to happen.

Anastasia

It's attached in place and rusted. Removing it shouldn't do anything beyond removing the barrier in your way. Bear in mind it's iced over, so any effort to remove it would need to deal with that as well.

Manifesting Time Hop
Augmenting +2 to affect both gate and ice.
Total cost: 7 PP
Gate and ice vanish from timestream for 31 rounds unless they're magical, in which case they can save Will DC 27

More like dimensionally displaced with campaign specific issues, but either way.

The gate and ice are shifted away, vanished away entirely for now.

Debonah strides forward, Dana right behind her. Benyen hurries along, "Well finally," he says, while Miranda checks her bow and follows with you. "I could use another fight."
