Alyssa looks for herself, while asking, "Was anyone else attacked? Any injuries or casualties?"

[Anastasia]

Perception.

"Not that we've discerned yet," Delaize says quietly, pulling you slightly away from the others, waving them off with a hand. "Right now, I amy theorizing this was meant to be a precision strike to assassinate you."

"It was a closer thing than I'd like to admit. I'm not sure if it was because I was already dozing, but I couldn't shake the spell off until right at the end."

[Anastasia]

You don't notice anything awry.

"Then you're lucky to be alive," Delaize says bluntly.

[Iron Dragoon]

"Yes, I think so as well. I was able to break free enough at the end to get to Jarem and the others, so there's that, but it was too close for comfort. After I deal with finding this Druid and Lord Melweather, I think I'll have to contact some of Selune's people to see if I can't solicit some sort of tailored defensive spells. They'll know far more of Shar's magic than most anyone else, I think."

[Anastasia]

A slight nod to that as a page runs in. "Ma'am," he bows, "Sir Jarem would requests your presence."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods. "Clean up here. Watch for anything left over. I'll be.. trying.. to go back to sleep after I speak to Jarem and Emily."

[Anastasia]

Meeting up with them is easy enough, the three of you meeting in a quiet hallway as the guild bustles beyond it.

"You alright? Your family alright?" Jarem asks, plainly and right off.

[Iron Dragoon]

"Yes. Emily's healing did the trick. Thank you. Shar's spell used the moon as a foci. I'm thinking that was a powerful enough focus to simply blow through all of our defenses."

[Anastasia]

Jarem takes 10 on K:R

"No, impossible," Jarem says, "Selune would rather die than let Shar use the moon like that. But back up, walk us through what happened to you. All I know is that a man's voice woke up and told us to rush to your side."

"Same here," Emily says, "I was meditating and that voice insisted - a divine voice, I think it was."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Shaundakul. I felt him stand by me against Shar. I was dozing on my balcony and I woke up to an odd feeling. Looked up and the Moon was surrounded by a purple glow. Then Shar's voice hit me. Some sort of lullaby curse. It was choking me and draining my life directly. Shanudakul arrived after a few moments to ward off Shar, though she didn't back down. I was able to break free right at the end."

[Anastasia]

Jarem nods slightly, "Walk me through it, Alyssa. Tell me what you saw happened, any detail could be useful."

"That does sound like a divine confrontation. I've had Waukeen and Mom talk to me like that before, there's a certain...shade? A certain presence to it. You know it when you hear it." Emily adds in, "I also know that deities don't usually work like that, that they don't personally try to assassinate someone like that. That's really unusual, that's what servants and worshipers are for. At worst an avatar paying you a personal visit, but even that is remarkably rare." Her expression is firm, a fist held up to her chest, "That's just not done!"

"Yeah?" Jarem asks, a sidelong look over at Emily, "Say you're right, that means Shar's willing to go in hard to kill Alyssa."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Exactly as I said. I was dozing, felt the presence. Looked up for it, and the Moon was ringed in purple. Shar started talking about giving up and taking me away. It was pure terror and sickness. I tried to crawl away, but couldn't even move. She started a song, the Shaundakul showed up, and said my journey shouldn't end. That others stood with me. I regained enough control of myself to try and teleport to you, and you were there for the rest."

[Anastasia]

"Then I'm glad we were - and we got to smite an evil, too, on top of everything else," Emily smiles - and you feel it. A connection with her, a sensation. A sense of growing, a sense of empowerment.

Jarem's immediately murmuring words of magic, studying intensely.
