The shadow is blocked, Syala smiling. With a flex of divine power she goes over and kneels as the shadow stuff tries to flee, already shimmering and smoking in Latha's light. She grabs part of it, a blank, shadowy head forming, with her hand holding his chin.

"We didn't give you or your little dog of a master permission to flee, did we?" Syala asks, voice sweet.
