I have a dream that one day, men will be punched in the face not for the color of their skin, but for the awful content of their character.

"Thank you," Alicia says, inclining her head towards the inevitable. "Though given the state of the compact this is all merely theoretical. Is there an expectation that the compact may one day be undone?"

Certainly if Creation stands on the brink of annihilation, the damage wrought by unrestrained chronomancy may become an acceptable price to pay.

Anastasia

"There is not at this time," Chrona 42 says, "But should it happen or the pact be unable to be enforced, it is your duty to be able to handle Chronomancy. Now," Smiling a bit, "I have to go into the past and prepare another instance elsewhere for Lady Aryn. It was an honor, ladies."

"Thank you," Syala says, "I'll make sure your superiors know how well you did."

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

"Yes, you deserve a good word for your efforts here," Alicia agrees. "Thank you for taking care of us. Marie?" she turns to her proxy, "I'll take your equipment so you can return to your assignment."

The tulani nods, handing over some of her more visible magical items, including those bracers of time. "I'll keep my eyes and ears out for you!" she salutes before teleporting away to resume her mission as Honey Belle, while Alicia and Syala gate back to Sylica.

Anastasia

As that happens?

"Alicia, Syala," Antenora says to their true forms, the three of them in a quiet place of Liberton, "There is war."

Someone's always fighting somewhere...

Would Alicia be aware of this from her portfolio sense?

QuotePortfolio Sense: Demigods have a limited ability to sense events involving their portfolios. They automatically sense any event that involves one thousand or more people. The ability is limited to the present. Lesser deities automatically sense any event that involves their portfolios and affects five hundred or more people. Intermediate deities automatically sense any event that involves their portfolios, regardless of the number of people involved. In addition, their senses extend one week into the past for every divine rank they have. Greater deities automatically sense any event that involves their portfolios, regardless of the number of people involved. In addition, their senses extend one week into the past and one week into the future for every divine rank they have. The ability to sense the future is not perfect, local events can change the future so that what was sensed does not come to pass.

When a deity senses an event, she merely knows that the event is occurring and where it is. She receives no sensory information about the event. Once a deity notices an event, she can typically use her remote sensing power to perceive more about it. If a greater deity senses an event in the future that is subsequently stopped from happening, she is aware it was stopped, though further details are not known.

Since she has the war domain.

Anastasia

You'd be getting pings of it, yeah. It's a gigantic planar war.

What specific information do I derive? Feels like a good time to flesh out how this works!

Anastasia

Alicia can feel it. The tides of war surge, sweeping across Creation. A war that will burn like a blaze, spreading about as the inferno is fed. Flashes - the Grand Sultan, the archons, the Cauldron. More and more are pulled in, while figures beyond watch, wait, prepare.

"Yes, I know," Alicia says to Antenora. "I feel it in my bones. The efreet, Celestia, and Seira. We'll be drawn into it, of course."

Anastasia

"Of course," Antenora says, "We must decide how much we will commit to this."

"We need to keep forces in reserve to deal with Shar when opportunities arise and defend Sylica," Alicia says right off. "Beyond that our commitments to Aurora and the expedition we're preparing for Daun can't be weakened. Unfortunately that limits us, we simply don't have the numbers to fight on so many fronts. But Celestia and the Cauldron are our allies - our friends, so we can't turn them down if they ask for aid."

Anastasia

"We'll have to sit down and see how our forces are doing," Syala hums, "We are rather committed in a lot of directions. I imagine Seira will be cutting down her commitments on other things because of this."

"Probably, she usually has a lot of plates spinning," Alicia agrees. "Lets get everyone we can together and have a proper council so we know exactly what we have to work with."

Anastasia

Let me pause you here then, since that's getting into that realm stuff.

It's a little later when Strength of Light has joined you.

"Right now we're at capacity, but we could divert forces from Sylica itself, as well as rotate soldiers out of leaves and detachments," Strength of Light reports, "How large an investment into this Efreet war is called for?"

At this Syala is sitting in your meeting room, Latha's sunlight spilling in through open windows. She nods, "At least matching our Aurora deployment, if not more. We're still a tiny realm by standards, we haven't had millions of years to expand. Still, we can make a difference because our commitments are also much lesser, so we aren't as tied up."
