Well that's a dismissal if ever she heard one. "Come on, back to Sylica," she says, departing the fortress before gating them home.

"He knew. He knew exactly how to lure us. How perfectly lawful our considerations were. How to pervert doing what was right into bowing to him." Antenora takes a long breath out, "We had every reason to take that seed - such a miraculous thing, Alicia!"

"Don't worry," Syala smiles, a cocky little half smile, "That's why you keep me around. My chaotic nature would've made me hit you if you tried to take it."

"And what a thing that seed is, too," Alicia says. "I think I need to ask Mystra about this."

I just met with an avatar of Asmodeus who offered me a divine seed, that could elevate anyone to divinity or empower an existing deity. He claimed it the work of the Incarnations. Are you familiar with such things?

[Anastasia]

I did not think any of those still existed - I only know of them from seeing one, once. They are works of the Incarnations, the crystallization of the potential for apotheosis. Once, the Incarnation of Law showed me one, so that I would understand it if I ever came across ones, for as works of the Incarnations, they are beyond the Weave.

"Mystra's aware of them but only ever saw one once when the Incarnation of Law showed it as an example, so she doesn't have a stock of her own," Alicia tells Syala and Antenora. "And a stock Asmodeus most certainly has - if he only had one he would never have offered it to us."

Back to Mystra? Furthermore, Zaphkiel was involved in the meeting as well - it discussed Antenora's apotheosis outside Creation. Asmodeus is intimately familiar with the method and suggested Zaphkiel was as well and would be using it to raise other deities for the brewing conflict with Shar. I would suspect that Zaphkiel might also possess similar seeds, although it wasn't confirmed.

"Unless he believed we'd refuse, or if he was willing to trade it for getting power over us," Antenora disagrees, "He went so far as to affirm our value. I do not believe that a lie, and in this, I could believe him willing to make that sacrifice."

It is not impossible. Both Asmodeus and Zaphkiel are reclusive in their ways.

"I just can't see him offering up something that's genuinely one of a kind and irreplaceable, it just doesn't pass the smell test for me," Alicia shakes her head. "Anyway, Zaphkiel told us a bit about the other groups chosen by him and Io, we should go tell Latha about how one's connected to Seira's kin and another's from the Realm of Light, since she's so interested in hunting them down."
