Ahead the path goes up and out - and from here you can see it. A blue-white rain of fire, burning bright and hot, fallins down like a rainstorm.

Anything magical about it? Like it isn't, say, dispelling fire rain or anything?

The fire is not magical.

"It's just... fire rain." Moore says, almost dejectedly. He proceeds onward, at a fast pace!

Whatever those flames are, they burn you like your magic isn't there. You reflexively flutter back to cover, shaking off your singed hand.

Cresiel brings his shield up to protect you, give you more between you and the rain. "That's more than the normal fire here," he observes.

"I've heard of this - blue flames that burn hotter than the rest of Fire, so hot that they can burn even fire elementals. Rare."

Xandra bows her head, "Also not natural." She closes her eyes, "I can see....it is indeed not natural. It is provoked."

To be clear here, asking for a Knowledge check would've helped. Likewise, it's not magical. It's just one of the strange things an elemental plane can do.

"Well, we can't just avoid it." Moore says with a shake of his hand. "I suppose we could try and go under it... hmm. Ideas?" He looks over at the others, taking a moment to heal his hand.

[Anastasia]

"Can we have some sort of barrier above us to block it?" Jetina says, "Cresiel and I could use our shields and Moore could cling to Cresiel to avoid the fire, but that still leaves Xandra." Jetina looks up at the blue and white flames, falling steadily. "We could try waiting it out, but if it's being caused by something, it may not stop soon or at all." Frowning at this, "If I recall, most of Magma is liquid or a sludgy solid. We'd need specialized abilities to tunnel effectively."

[Nephrite]

"All right, then let's do this." Moore says, as he sings a quiet tune.

Song of Life, everyone gets Fast Healing 12.

"We'll just teleport through it, we may get a bit burned here and there but we shouldn't be exposed long enough." Moore says.

Take 10 for 66 on Spellcraft if there's anything here that would actually prevent the teleportation from working.

He's going to Dimension Door everyone 1640 feet north, then keep doing that until they get to where they need to go.

[Anastasia]

"Be ready, shields out," Cresiel calls, his own up over you. Jetina follows suit as you blink - into a field of stone and magma, roiling. The blue fire is falling thicker here, heavier, making it harder to see and cutting down visibility. But far above there is no sky, but the ever distant roof of a cavern. The blue-white fire falls from that roof, leaking down copiously.

"GO!" Cresiel calls as...

Ref all. Everyone but Xandra gets a +4 circumstance bonus from shields.

Go ahead and roll for Cresiel too. It's just simple saves and I have 5 rooms going right now. I'll handle HP and everything else as normal, but speeding that along by you rolling that would be a genuine boon. Thanks.
