Two more blows manage to hit, a shoulder blow that dents the mithral and then a swing to its head, distorting it as the entire golem is knocked momentarily aside. At this it suddenly withdraws to the back of the room - where the floor simply opens up, dropping it out of sight.

The two of you peek down. The golem landed a floor below, in a fairly dark room. You can just see it from here, it's getting up from its landing.

This time the golem CRACKS loudly, an arm falling away and then it tumbles over, twitching a few times before going still. You got it!

Moore turns his attention to the slumbering efreet.

"Did you gain any insight as to where Abdel is?" Moore asks Xandra. "If not, I think we may have to ask our lying friend here."

Take 10 on K:A for 90, the word 'clone' seemed rather specific. Can I take a guess as to whether this is just some sort of construct that looks and acts 'human?' I'm also going to take 10 on Spellcraft for 82, he's also going to Detect Magic on this guy.

In theory it could be a clone spell, but those usually are inert until the person's normal body passes, at which point the clone is inhabited. This is likely some blend of that, a simulacrum and custom work.

"Hiding here," Xandra says, "Below, like a rat."

Moore gestures at the body.

Antimagic Ray, I'm assuming it just succeeds?

"Now... do we leave it here?" Moore asks the others. "I could question it, but I don't know if it'd serve us any purpose."

You mean the efreet, the defeated golem or...?

The ray seems to have worked - whatever this is, mere antimagic isn't stopping it. It's likely something more permanent, like a clone that's actually alive.
