Power clashes as the dragon howls and screams, the shadows fading away. Yet it doesn't die, you feel it retreat - to Io's overwhelming presence, a gasp as it is utterly consumed, annihilated in a moment.

"Well done." Io's voice is heard. "I shall provide, as he is no longer able to. I believe this lesson stands self evident, for Shar's power draws, allures, tempts and overtakes."

Before the party they appear - three scrolls and a purple key.

Free act.

Alicia recasts many moments of prescience as soon as she has a chance. "A good thing we ended it here before it could blight Creation any," she agrees while Seira checks over the scrolls and key.

Loot update. Spells pasted here.

Iosodaelanaja's Endless Sight
Divination
Level: Clr 12, Rgr 10, Sor/Wiz 12
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: 10 min/level
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

Your vision extends up to 100ft per caster level, able to see anything within that range with perfect clarity, granting you a +20 competence bonus to Spot checks. This vision is sufficient to see it anything within the range of your vision as if you were before it and studying it closely. You gain the ability to see in any mundane darkness and any magical darkness of 9th level or lower, as well as through magical and non magical fog, mist, smoke and similar obstructions. You cannot be blinded and you can see through intense light that would normally be blinding without harm or penalty, be it magical or non magical.

This spell does not bestow x-ray vision or similar abilities. Solid objects still stop your vision as normal.

Material Component

A crystal prism worth 100 gold.

Danatha's Improvisation
Transmutation
Level: Brd 7
Duration: 1 min/level

This spell is identical to improvisation, except as noted here. You can use your pool of luck to improve saving throws or weapon damage rolls in addition to attack rolls, skill checks and ability checks.

Sorrow's Touch
Transmutation
Level: Corrupt 14
Components: V, S, Corrupt
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: 1 min/level
Saving Throw: Fortitude partial; see text
Spell Resistance: No

The target's touch, including unarmed attacks and natural weapons, slowly wears away everything the touched creature is. This inflicts 2 points of vile ability damage to all six ability scores per touch.

Creatures who suffer vile ability damage from sorrow's touch and who are not fully healed of it within 1 minute must make a Fortitude save or slip into a black depression. Such creatures are listless, unwilling to do anything except lament their failings and miseries. The only cure is to heal the vile ability damage caused by sorrow's touch. Creatures affected by this ability will cease to see to basic personal needs such as grooming, hygiene, eating and drinking. In all aspects, the creature will sit and wait to die, mired in sorrow.

Corruption Cost

1d6 points of ability damage to all six ability scores.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Corwin

"Yeah I'm burning this one," Seira says, putting the first two scrolls away. "What were you thinking? Seriously."

A burst of divine will purifies the vile scroll.

Anastasia

"Know your enemy so that you can crush them better?" Oberuth suggests.

Meanwhile Antenora turns to Moore, checking him over.

Jetina lowers her blade, "What are the other two scrolls and why is one so objectionable?"

Aiming to destroy or purify the scroll? To be clear.

Alicia trusts Seira's judgement on that, having often found worthless unholy magic in their past adventures. "I'm surprised the key isn't magic. A mundane lock isn't going to stop us here unless we feel like being especially sporting. Which way would people like to go next? Explore more in this area, or try another direction back from where we started?"

Corwin

I was honestly being fancy about burning it, but if my divine powers of purification can work on scrolls like that I'd like to try it!

"I'll be sure to make copies for all participants," Seira promises to Jetina, "plus any special insights I might have. The other scrolls are actually pretty great, but this one tainted any user without fail."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

"What about the door Madigar sat before?" Amaryl asks, "We could explore that?"

Antenora shakes her head, "I say we go north, down to the sapphire blue halls."

"That sounds good, or the metallic silver hall? WE've met a despair dragon and a chromatic dragon. Maybe that leads to a metallic dragon?" Jetina ventures, returning back to the party. "Ah. Corrupt magic, then."

In theory it might be possible, but conceptual spells like this don't convert easily, so we'll just burn it. It's not the sort of spell that you flip and makes a good counter spell, really, and I don't want to slow us down having to redesign an analogue to it from scratch.

Corwin

"Just give me a moment here," Seira says, precasting a couple spells and taking a closer look at the cavern they're in. Her senses are already better than what Iosodaelanaja's spell could help with, and she looks for any hidden doors or locks for the purple key!

Perception take 10 for 105, and I'm emulating a spell that's to Detect Secret Doors as Greater Arcane Sight is to Detect Magic so we don't waste  a lot of time on this.
