"Even so you gave it a good try when you had no other options. I will speak well of you to Io," Alicia commends the fallen dragon.

Really she intends to ask for blanket freedom for them all rather than worrying about specific requests, if any don't want it after it's on the table that's between them and Io.

[Anastasia]

"No wonder Lord Io chose all of you," the dragon scowls, "Instead of his children. At least a few of you are his adopted children."

[Corwin]

Seira doesn't really look at it like that, but it works! Shrugging, she asks the others, "Where to now?"

"Lets try going immediately West from where we entered?" Alicia suggests, leaving Lightning's room and turning to her right for that passageway.

[Corwin]

"Works for me!"

[Anastasia]

Antenora follows, "Adopted child of Io? That's a poetic way to refer to you, Seira."

Amaryl sniffs, "Also condescending."

In an aside to Moore, Jetina murmurs, "But isn't condescending an elf trait, at least a lot of the time?"

Oberuth follows, "He's not wrong." As he follows, "What strikes me is that no matter what we are, all of us become more than human in this quest of ours. Creation's even geared to it, humans are meant to die and become spirits. It's self important foolishness to hold it against someone."

Seira shrugs at Antenora, hoping the topic dies out before she is visibly annoyed at the elf/human bickering.

The party walks onward - and space twists ahead of you, curling and moving around and around, twisting and looping, going nowhere, the way ahead ever distant.
