The hall to the north is a blue-green becoming a steady green throughout. It goes north a ways, coming to a T intersection with passages east and west. Yet at that intersection is a shimmer, perhaps merely a trick of the light. Yet as you see it, this shimmer rapidly jets towards the party.

The wall and the light meet, the shimmer of light stopping cold at it, seeming to rub and push against it, all in vain.

"What is that?" Antenora asks, stepping forward. "Hello?"

Blindsight and tremorsense turn up nothing. For arcane sight, it seems to be pure, raw magic and potential. Unformed, unshaped.

"Curious," Alicia says. "It appears to be raw magic. I don't believe it would hurt us, it lacks the coherency of a spell. It might be drawn to our own magic, like metal shavings to a magnet, but I'm not certain if it can be molded. Or if it should be, it's probably part of a puzzle."

"Mmm. Maybe it's actually a gift of sorts?" Seira muses, looking it over with her arcane sight.

[Anastasia]

You'd get the same results as Alicia, Seira.

"It could be," Antenora reasons, "Or another cast off of Io, left here for us to find."

"You're right," Jetina says, eyeing it from behind the wall, "We should help it, if we can, if it's remotely alive."

"Spells aren't alive," Oberuth grunts, "Last I heard."

"They can be! There's a spell for that," Seira informs Oberuth cheerfully. "If we do reshape the magic, any good ideas for the final result?"

[Anastasia]

"Of COURSE there is," Oberuth says, a decidedly sour note in his voice.

"Try and make it conjure a key?" Alicia suggests. They need to replace the purple one and this is far less objectionable!

Seira attempts to focus on just that! If there's a longshot to allow a key of hope to be born out of this situation, from this errant magic, then her divine power was made exactly for that!
