Nephrite

Jetina grabs onto or is somehow held by Cresiel, as she is the slowest.

Moore's the next slowest, but Kaja is only 5 feet faster than he is anyway, so we'll keep this at Moore's speed, which is 90ft.

Note to self: Cast 5 Phantom Steeds in the morning every day for situations like this.

Anastasia

Thus the party races ahead, running. Yet the fog is regathering as you go, moving at a steady clip as visibility again sinks.

"We need more wind," Cresiel declares, "Can you keep casting that spell, Xandra?"

"It's little trouble, but it will slow us down," she warns.

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Let me handle it." Moore says, then he makes a simple gesture!

Using Limited Wish to emulate Control Winds (druid 5) for the following benefit:

Blow wind outward in an area around the party to keep the fog at least 100 feet away.

If I need to be more specific I can be, but I figure this is entirely possible.

Anastasia

Your will is made into magic and the magic spreads, blowing the wind back and away from the party. A large circle around all of you that's clear, letting you advance in far less danger.

"Let's keep going, hurry! Speed matters," Kaja says, "The faster, the better!"

Moore nods as he continues flying!

Anastasia

On you go, on you go and race ahead. Running over the blasted ground at a good clip, clearing about 3/4ths of a mile. The fog beyond your circle thickens a moment and when it passes, they emerge from the fog. One from each of the four cardinal directions. Each is a gray thing, humanoid and wearing leather wraps all over their bodies.  They have hunched over backs, eyes covered by their wrappings. They say not a word, but they approach as...

"Looks like they expected a rescue," Kaja smiles as his hands go to the hilts of his blades, "My lucky day."

Chance to react, but this is probably init.

"They'll slow us down, but better we get rid of them here than have them ambush us later!"

I am just assuming we'll kill them, yes.

Moore makes a gesture, and then shouts to everyone.

"Let's smash whatever these are and then keep moving!" He calls out, words of power filling everyone!

Casting Harmonize as standard.

Swift is Inspirational Boost.

Move (via Harmonize) is Inspire Courage.

+18 to attack and damage rolls, and fort saves against charm and fear. Since they're all close they get an extra +2 to attack rolls, so it's +20 to attack and +18 damage.

Also, Take 10 on K:P for 91 to identify whatever these are if possible.

They resemble mummies but it's not right. Some sort of variant - you recall old stories of obscene rituals, where slain mummies are animated a second time, wrapped in leather and imbued with a soul larvae. These mummies develop an overwhelming taste for the flesh of the living as well as a cunning malice. On more thought, you recall that a sickness is involved, some sort of disease made by a previous Oinoloth and likely able to be spread by their bite or even touch.

Ah, now it comes to you. They are named the Children of Death, for they have met death twice, once as a father and once as a mother.

Would it stand to reason that healing magic harms them like any other undead?

Anastasia

You don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
