Your trip is blessedly without trouble despite the snows. At about 3/4ths of the way there, the storm becomes a blanket, visibility poor indeed. The fog and weather make it 10ft ahead of you at most, like you're wrapped in your own frozen tombs. You can't even see Kaja as he calls, "We're sitting ducks like this. Can you do anything about the weather?"

"There's a spell that does it but it takes a long time to cast, and probably wouldn't work here anyway!" Moore calls out. "We just have to keep going, just call out every few moments to make sure nothing's happened! We're almost there!"

As you ride along, the winds begin to blow - and yet with them, beneath them, are howlings. Howlings like the winter winds, hungry and consuming.

"Elementals... maybe, not sure!" Moore shouts. "Keep going, these steeds should be able to outrun them without too much trouble! We'll fight if we have to, but I'd rather try and get to Foggard first!"

"Onward," Cresiel shouts back.

"Be on guard! Spirits of the cold cry out to feed," Xandra says from amid the storm, "We will not go uncontested."

The last time he used his magic for something like this it caused all sorts of problems, so they're just going to have to deal with it and try and disengage as much as they can and try to get to a solid ground, or, better yet, inside Foggard where the blizzard is likely not present.

[Anastasia]

You barely go farther before you see it. A woman clad in pale blue flies along, coming just within 10ft of your ride. She howls all the while, a mournful cry as...!!!

"I have one over here," Jetina shouts from within the storm, "Brace!"

Basically, this is a 'can the steeds move fast enough at double move to get away from these things' question for the others. He'll also gauge that for himself.

"Not sure!" Jetina calls back. From your eye, they're keeping pace with you, seeming to glide along at the same rapid speed, on the winds of the blizzard.

"Then we fight!" He shouts.
