After a beat, "I'll investigate one immediately," Xandra says.

That's a polite way of the DM realizing oh crap, he has to do footwork and didn't get any done last night since I barely slept. It's probably wishable anyway so it's brute force bait at worst with Kaja's ring to avoid spell disruption if you're going right after.

Is there any prep you want to do before Foggard or anything like that?

[Nephrite]

We could always just try and open a gate there too and see what happens. That's another brute force way, of course.

There would be buffs and things before we go but that's all standard stuff anyway.

[Nephrite]

Moore is also fine using Miracle and waiting an hour assuming it's safe.

[Anastasia]

Was a few, had a late lunch after an early breakfast. Was hungry.

Cresiel can do Gate, so let's try that.

[Anastasia]

Thus the party goes out to the beach to try the gate spell.

On being opened, the gate blackens and a howling scream erupts, before the gate tears itself apart, leaving a foul chill in the air.

Kaja rushes ahead, shielding all of you with scimitars raised. Xandra brings her blade up to the same, "Erathoal's mercy!" Jetina shields up as Cresiel is at your side, personally protecting you.

"That's an answer," Kaja finally says as the chill fades, lowering his blades.

[Nephrite]

"Yes, that does rather...answer that question." Moore says with a frown. "I wonder if they haven't found what they seek there yet."

[Anastasia]

"Or worse, they're still asking," Xandra observes. "Perhaps consulting with the more learned of the situation would be in order."

[Nephrite]

"A sound idea." Moore says as he invokes his Sending Stone!

'Romiel, I apologize for bothering you. Are you familiar with the situation unfolding at Foggard?'

[Anastasia]

'No, I am busy with the war efforts,' Romiel sends back, short and to the point.

[Nephrite]

"Hmm. Romiel isn't familiar with the situation, so I don't know that a lot of attention is being out there." Moore says. "I hate to bother Lord Erathaol, but he's the one who treated with Lixer..."

[Anastasia]

"We need the information," Jetina says, "We may have no choice in this situation, as I feel he would not approve of us going off without knowledge."

[Nephrite]

"Well, we're not going to do that." Moore says with a smile. "Don't worry."

Either way, he reluctantly uses his stone again!

'Lord Erathaol, I apologize for bothering you. Regarding the matter at Foggard, do we know any more than when we escaped? It seems the demons and devils are either still there, or one side prevailed but is still there.'

[Anastasia]

'Darkness has fallen over the library, the after math of a battle between Lixer and Orcus.'

[Nephrite]

'Do you believe it in our power to remove that darkness? I don't wish to leave it in such a state, if there's something we can do.'
