"Yeah, but short notice is hard," Bastian says, "Probably not worth the trouble and time."

"Mmm... So, what alterations to the plan do you suggest? They're almost certainly aware of the scrying."

[Anastasia]

"They know someone may be coming," Emily reasons, "So we'll have to hit them hard and assume they'll be ready."

"Which means we come in and hit hard," Jarem says, "If they're defending, we have to be a strong enough fist to break through that."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Is who we brought enough, or do we need to call in reinforcements?"

[Anastasia]

Bastian shrugs, great big shoulders rolling before he smiles, a hint of fangs. "If you're worth the bucket your piss, the five of us shouldn't need backup unless we're already fucked. I'm good and I know all of you are supposed to be great champions."

Smiling just a bit, "Yeah. We good, so can we scratch up people who will make a meaningful difference?

[Iron Dragoon]

"To get the slaves out. I'd rather have us able to focus on threats than having to heard confused and scared people around."

[Anastasia]

"We're short on warm bodies, but I can muster the contingent I have," Jarem says, "If we can manage the transport efficiently without the guild's magic."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Gate or Plane Shift. Delaize can go with the contingent and get them back, if need be."

[Anastasia]

Logistics question: How many people are you bringing?

[Iron Dragoon]

Minimum needed. Node peeps for combat, and then however many to evacuate slaves.

[Anastasia]

Well, that's the question. How many do you think you'll need for that?

[Iron Dragoon]

I have no idea. Do I know enough about efreet stuff to guesstimate how many slaves there might be?

[Anastasia]

Not really? You just don't have the information to know how many slaves might be held here.

[Iron Dragoon]

"Well, we don't really know how many people we'll have to corral. I'd say... Ten or so? What do you think, Jarem? I've never done a mass evacuation before."

[Anastasia]

"I have," Jarem says, "Chaos is the nature of the beast." He glances out the window himself, "Speaking of, what's so interesting out there, Bastian?"

"The roads," Bastian's reply is short, his gaze going back out.

"Religion." Jarem's answer is casual, "Regardless, you need enough bodies to direct people along with someone who can get them moving in the right direction. The distance you have to cover, the number of people and other things all factor into it. You can do it short if you have good people or the people you're rescuing aren't going to panic, but we don't have the latter luxury. I can put good people on it, but we're still guessing blind on how many we'll need. I'd say 20 if we can manage the magic to ferry them both here and back safely."
