It works, covering the immediate area and more besides.

"There," Chrona 42 says, "A localized temporal adjustment. Continue."

It goes to a bit past 3000ft radius before it becomes too much, collapsing.

Staying at the 3000ft radius, Seira speeds up time. It goes three times as fast! Then four, then five... she reduces the radius if needed, but keeps on boosting the acceleration until she hits times 60. That much might be actively disorienting for her, being in different locations, so it's a chance to find out if she can naturally adjust to it or needs some practice.

Faster.

Faster.

Faster.

Somehow you handle it perfectly. Your senses adjust as Chrona 42 speaks in a blur, yet you can understand him. "The divine mind is far superior, and with some adjustments to handle things such as the deluge of prayer and temporal mismatches. It is not infinite nor is it a defense against being removed from time or frozen, but it is sufficient for this."

"An excellent point," Seira agrees. She hadn't considered on the effects if all of her were within the affected zone, but it's something to consider. She allows time to return to normal, before asking Chrona 42 curiously, "It is my understanding that making a universal improved Haste spell would be difficult, and couldn't take the magic much farther than it already is, but what of Time Stop? Metamagic can stretch it to roughly half a minute of subjective time, but without chaining them is a longer Time Stop banned by the Compact, or merely requires so much power no one thus far felt it was worth the hassle to develop?"

"Time Stop as it is known now is something of a substitute and not a great one. It works but the spell form is far less developed.  You'd have to pour in vastly more power and skill to improve it," Chrona 42 says, "The spell is not a dead end, but it is close."

Kascha writes at that, "It is hard to modify, I've tried a few times and usually don't get far. Everything is so exacting."

"The spell formula will have to be reworked, but I saw nothing limiting about it, so the only hard limit would have to come from outside," Seira tells Kascha with a nod at the Inevitable. "Also, I've noticed that when I use Time Stop lately I have far more time on my hands than I need. During my mortal years I had cause to wring everything I could from the spell, but now? I suspect no one's made a more powerful spell since by the time you can design and cast it, you don't actually need it."

Out of curiosity, once more, she asks Chrona 42, "Could you cast the original spell?" It would be interesting to see if she could piggyback on it!

"Of course," Chrona 42 agrees, a moment of will and...

Correct! Spell Stowaway: Time Stop.

OW! There's a sharp shock, a fizzle around you. You certainly don't enter time stop.

Chrona 42 says, "It's the same spell but it isn't, and I suspect your trick ran afoul of that limitation."

Kascha keeps on her notes, "Same name, same sort of effect but the magical underpinnings are completely different," she says, "I see, it's like naming another spell fireball doesn't help things geared for normal fireball."

"Certainly," Chrona 42 offers, hands out, "Take a hand, it's simplest that way."

"Let's bring just me in first, then take Kascha next," Seira readily agrees, taking his hand. If the spell is sufficiently different, she'll have to map out the key differences! The actual situation within the frozen time bubble, what she can affect outside it and so forth.

Ah, you see. One spell is simply a burst of super speed mimicking time being slower, a crude work around. This is like what you did with the island, only magnified to give you a far cleaner, superior result.

Relatively due to the speed of time around you.
