Anastasia

Kaja scowls deeply as Cresiel just nods. Coming to the bottom, here is a river of volcanic glass. A waterfall pours into this room, a great gush of it raining down into a room filling lake, with a river going on beyond this. You could follow that to continue, or up the waterfall, or perhaps look around.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Moore will opt to explore the general area they're in for now.

Kaja flies to the waterfall and picks up a hunk of stone, tossing it in. It falls apart in ribbons as it passes through the flowing volcanic glass. Here he sighs in open annoyance.

"....I wonder....." Xandra goes to to it, and with a faint grimace, reaches around. She plunks a feather from her wings, deftly tossing it into the waterfall. It is shredded as well.

"If it cuts rock it cuts a feather," Kaja says bluntly, arms crossed.

"Liquid glass. What a marvelous spell this could make," Xandra says as she studies it.

Cresiel stays at your side, keeping an eye on that waterfall.

Jetina just stays nearby, "Don't make me have to heal you two," she warns.

With a glance back at Jetina, "How does lava glass become a liquid? Madness." Kaja scowls even deeper.

Meanwhile, you look around. Checking, you think you can spy a passage behind the waterfall. Getting to it would require...well, dealing with the waterfall.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"There's a passage behind the waterfall. I'm curious enough about it." Moore says. "But how would be best to get to it... I mean, I suppose the most basic idea is just to stop time and go around it..."

Anastasia

"Ethereal movement would be safe," Xandra suggests.

Cresiel eyes it and shakes his head, "I do not think it worth it."

"Go around it somehow, etherealness or some other means," Jetina agrees, "Don't face it head on."

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Oh, of course. Sometimes I forget I can do this, since more or less everywhere we go is warded against teleportation." Moore says with a bit of a laugh.

He's going to Dimension Door all of them past it.

Anastasia

"..so did I," Kaja confesses, "It's so vital that anyone of meaning wards themselves against it."

In an instant you blink past it, beyond the waterfall now.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Exactly." Moore says as he goes to explore the cave now!

Anastasia

You go around a bend and...a dead end.

"It's a dead end?" Jetina asks, "Really?"

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"I certainly don't believe that." Moore says.

Detect Secret Doors!!!

Also Spellcraft for 87 if there's anything magical in the area.

Anastasia

No magic an you detect no secret doors.

This was for Dimension Door.

This is for Detect Secret Doors.

"...Really?" Moore says as he looks around.

This time, he tries Hindsight! Perhaps something interesting has happened here in the last few days, weeks, or months?

So he's going to try with Hindsight, against 33 days, then 33 weeks, then 33 years, then 33 centuries. Has anything interesting happened here?

Anastasia

Not a single thing. It's simply a cavern that's remarkably uninteresting.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"...I guess sometimes you find a waterfall cave that's just a waterfall cave." Moore says somewhat dejectedly.

[23:05] <Nephrite> roll 1d100 spell failure
[23:05] <Penuche2> Nephrite invokes Penuche's magic: < 83 > [d100=83]

Dimension Door back out!

Are there any other caves here? I didn't see any mentioned, so just checking.

Anastasia

"That is completely unfair," Jetina seconds, "We found those elementals above but nothing's made that cave a secret passage?"

Xandra's lips twitch upward at that, while Kaja adds, "It's also cliche - how many bards sing of hidden waterfall caves, or where riches await if someone's willing to get a little wet?"

The only passages you can see are following the river, going up to the waterfall's top and checking that out or going back the way you came.
