While the legend lores go off, Alicia examines Robeaux herself to try and derive the history of his soul and tell if he was some mortal who ended up in the Abyss before having his demonic memories stripped to make this being, or if he's a normal tiefling who's soul has no past beyond its current existence.

It's...just blank. Completely purged and yet there are memories there, like icing atop a cake, spread on to change how it looks.

She doesn't want to say it bluntly to him while the legend lores are going on, but she tells Antenora and Syala.

His soul is blank, emptied out and with memories layered on top rather than integrated. It's plainly unnatural and completely obscures whatever he was before.

[Anastasia]

That poor soul.

We really need to sit down with Violet at length. She's begun to annoy me.

She will account for her sins one day. Today the soul before us is the concern.

There's no telling what he was. Stripping away the Robeaux memories and powers would leave a blank slate, like a newborn. It's possible the original is recoverable at Rosewater but it's likely lost to the Styx entirely. And we can't trust anything we've been told today about it either.

[Anastasia]

Then all we have is a soul to save.

Alicia's right. It also means they know we're digging around, or at least guessed right. Even if we storm Rosewater now, they may have withdrawn valuable assets.

[Anastasia]

Meanwhile, Marie finds out her Legend Lore doesn't return anything. The object isn't legendary.

Is it magical?

Anything made by someone above level 11 should count at least a little bit as legendary even if it's just 'This never used sword was made by Afina the steam pixie archmage'.

Anyway if it's magical it'll get spellcrafted to ID it. Take 10 for 59.

All it has is a faint enchantment to make it look magical. Nothing special there, it might fool a casual examination but not Marie's gaze.

The pendant was made by Grolina, a succubus sorceress.

Marie returns to deliver the trinket, Alicia already aware of the findings through prayer. She places it on the table and vanishes.

Looking at Robeaux herself, she bolsters her spellcraft to examine the spells he came in with and tell who cast those.

Using divine insight and guidance of the avatar to bump my spellcraft up to +91 for each check so I can make the DC 85 'discover caster' epic usage.

"Do you know of a succubus called Grolina?" Alicia asks 'Robeaux' after a moment, poking the fake magic trinket with her finger and making it roll around on the table.

"Yes, she's a servant of Scraladax and supports him with magic, and also serves in a few other roles," Is the answer you get. His eyes are fixated on the pendant, watching it roll.

"She enchanted this with a magic aura spell - it doesn't actually do anything," Alicia draws her hand back. "She also cast all the spells you had on you when you came here."
