Honestly, I'm looking at the aptitude enchantment and trying to get it to work on the chakrams somehow. We'll also be losing energy immunities and epic mage armor, so we'll need to find a way to cover that. Also something to do a planar bubble or the like, and something to get the weapons or summon daylight.

That's off the top of my head.

Issue is, I don't really have any books right now. So if you wanna put it on the back burner until I get back and just move forward with some smaller stuff, that'll at least keep things moving.

Make them into a combat unit. Maybe some as pixie Calvert, maybe some as infiltration/ambush support for scouts and stuff.

Well, I made a realm post about either having an alpha and training them like regular animals or what it would take to get the awakening spell from Surraruthru.

Well, it takes epic Handle Animal to train magical beasts. If only you knew someone with 24 or more ranks in Handle Animal. Like an epic level druid.

For real, Ianvasah could train them if you want.

it's more a question of which way would make them a more effective unit. Simple animal training or make them intelligent?

Ianvasah's opinion:

"Intelligence if possible would make them far more than they are now, but also with more complexity. Intelligent creatures have more ways to fail or object that unintelligent creatures do not. It's almost certainly less expensive since awakening of any kind is not a free spell."
