After the words

Well, we sorta went over this last time. Most everyone has slots open. Emily needs boots, wrists, and necklace. Ianvasah needs boots and a second ring. Bastian needs necklace, second ring, and boots. Dolmaya needs a necklace.

I don't know if you want to address all that right now or wait. Most everyone has 100-200k gold according to their sheets, so we actually have the funds to make a go of it, but it'll be something of a time sink to hunt through books and stuff to find suitable thingies.

[Anastasia]

Indeed. It'll probably be custom items too, which I need to sit down and work on. It's not really a session thing. More of just asking if you had something particular in mind, like a bonus type or a spell or a protection.

[Iron Dragoon]

Well, mechanically you know how they stack up and their weaknesses better than I do. I don't mind spending some time going through books and stuff to find standard items as base things to get those slots covered and we can work on adding to and customizing them later, if you want.

For specific bonuses, hmm... I'd say things that'll help fight Shar and grant holy or daylight style damage bonus would help, and any sort of non-enhancement stat boos is always helpful, for our casters CL bonus (ioun stone, ect) is always helpful. I've never played a druid, paladin, or monk, really, so I'd have to look through some things for anything better than that. I'm also not sure how monsters from the outer realms are classified beyond Outsiders (abominations, ect), so anything that will help inflict hurt on both them and Shar's champs is a gold star to me.

Okay Iddy, did some loot posting and that's wiped out. As I run combats for two other nodes, is there any other upkeep things like loot that should be done? Any spell adjustments you'd like?

I need to do spell list stuff, but I won't be able to today since I have blacksmithing tonight.

[Anastasia]

That's fine. Let me know if you have any suggestions for other NPCs to adjust their spells. This is big going in, so suggestions are good.

[Nephrite]

'Hi Alyssa.' Moore's voice, out of nowhere. 'I just got back from my adventure. I heard that you might have some reservations about going, do you want to discuss them?'

[Iron Dragoon]

'Hello Moore! It's less reservation and a matter of adequate preparation. Lord Zaphkiel contacted me and told me the Words would be critical. We've only had a few lessons and was concerned I might not be strong enough in the Words.'

[Nephrite]

'I can understand the trepidation. I will say that I think just going first may help. There is a... the location is conducive to learning. I'd be happy to accompany you to show you, and your friends are all of course welcome.'

[Iron Dragoon]

'That sounds perfect.  When would be good?"

[Nephrite]

'Any time is fine. I can come by and show you how to get there so you can come and go as you wish.'

[Iron Dragoon]

'That would be best. I need to see if anyone else has any affinity with the words, too.'

[Nephrite]

'I will be over shortly.'

Moore will come over and any of his NPCs that want to join in.

[Anastasia]

Xandra will go as one part Moore watching duty and one part because it's relevant.

Thus do Moore and Xandra come up to meet Alyssa in her tower.
