Rebirth and redemption

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa looks mildly annoyed but refuses to be hurried by his presence after he obviously spent time spying on them.

"Thank you. I take it we passed? How long have you watched?"

[Anastasia]

"I've kept an eye on you," Strength of Light says, "Normally one of these trials involves returning, but this isn't a normal trial. Can I see that circlet?"

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa hands it over, "I thought of using the Words of Creation while making it, but I think I'm going to be cautious with them until I pass the test. I don't have my hammer anymore, which is really, really annoying."

[Anastasia]

"This will do. Wear it while we finish," Strength of Light says, "Dress and come with me."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa does so, putting everything on.

[Anastasia]

It's a short walk - and in between the blinks of the eye you go from forest to forge. Inside to where...

"Alyssa!" Emily calls, "You made it!"

Jarem's there, a bit to the side, hefting a shield made of darkened wood, and then his own shield. He puts both down, "There you are," he says, "How was it?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"Mildly annoying. We actually only had two real fights. A rude titan and an irritable Child of Jorgmundr."

Alyssa gets an annoyed look, "I had to forge with a bone. A bone. Still... It worked well enough. I'll probably melt it down and use the Words of Creation after I pass the test to make it into my new hammer."

[Anastasia]

"The circlet's beautiful," Emily smiles and looks to it, "Oh, and it has magic! Have you studied it yet?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"No, as soon as I finished, Strength of Light showed up."

Alyssa inspects it!

Detect Magic as needed.

[Anastasia]

Loot.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa puts it back on, "Well, it's a start. Not nearly what I need it to be yet, but then the only magic in it is what's there naturally. I think it can be refined and improved. Latha, your opinion?"

[Anastasia]

Latha's not here, Strength of Light is.

"It still means it was a success," Emily smiles, "Thank you."

A nod from Strength of Light," Latha will return shortly, and I have a task to see to. Be strong ahead," he says, before going off.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods, "Thank you for the chance."

[Anastasia]

Once gone Dolmaya finds a place to sit while Emily comes over and says, "Still, you succeeded! Are you ready yet?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"No, I don't think so. I think this circlet needs to be more powerful to give me a real shot at this. I'm no good with enchanting items, however."
