Whatever Jessica's doing you don't know, but it seems to be enough as the lightning dragon turns and suddenly erupts out, lightning everywhere. One great, suicidal burst that is blocked by your magic and then?

The party stands side by side atop a sand dune. The sun scorches down from above, hot as a cook's fire. Desert stretches out in all directions as you hold your position.

"Now what?" Bastian growls, as you hear the sound of a trumpet heard from afar. It is a beautiful sound, clear and yet with an ominous note that instill a primal, unthinking fear in your mind. Your divine nature is enough to endure it, to put it aside as you put aside lesser things.

"Oh no," Emily breathes out as before you, the sun gutters out like a dying fire ember. Heat is replaced by frozen cold. The sky turns black and empty as Jarem readies himself, "Whatever it is, it's coming!"

The ground begins to crack open without a tremor, chasms appearing and spreading rapidly.

Alyssa takes to the air, a few feet off the ground and hovers, waiting to respond to whatever is coming...

Not really, apocalyptic myths vary wildly and often world to world. Fortunately you need not wait long.

From above it hurtles down. A falling star?

A being. A creature. A creature of pale platinum and sickly purple, humanoid  and with a blank, expressionless face. Its body seems self armored, metal rising from its skin directly, like a shell. It bears no weapon yet looms 300ft above all of you, coming down towards you.

The blast leaves the party devastated, the sheer force of it nigh overwhelming. Alyssa's ears ring as she staggers and turns, while the party reels. Dolmaya is barely up and Jarem's bleeding bad from his nose and ears, while even Emily looks off balance. It's 120ft away, on the ground and kneeling. Sand melts into glass before it, great pillars of rough, hazy yellowish glass rising. You can barely see it through them, only a distorted image well covered by them.

Glass is in the way of line of effect to it, so bear that in mind. Jessica.

'Can anyone break the glass?' Jessica's heard in your mind a moment later.
