"Let me try something." Moore says as they get closer.

He will try the Modified Control Water when we're actually close enough for it to work, to make sure that it does, in fact, work!

Assuming it does, they will continue into it.

[Anastasia]

It does and the drool parts. On your party goes, on and on - and you finally see something ahead.  A dead end for forward progress, but a cleft in the roof allows you to head upwards in that direction.

[Nephrite]

"Let's go." Moore says as he heads up, careful to keep an eye on the two spells to make sure they hold!

[Anastasia]

Past the river of drool, into the passage and up. It hooks back the way you came, much more narrow. It's spacious but sanely so. The ground is nothing but hardened flesh, no sign of life here, no sign of movement. Nothing but stillness as you all fly along.

"The acid's passed," Xandra agrees, ""We can do away with this sphere."

[Nephrite]

Moore dismisses the sphere of force but maintains the other spell for now.

"It is rather terrifying to think about how large this creature was." Moore says. "Perhaps even larger than the World Serpent."

[Anastasia]

"Too large," Cresiel concurs as you fly on.

"It's said it took a massive war to slay it," Sylvie adds in as you go, as ahead you notice something. A gleaming, just at the far edge of your deific vision.

[Nephrite]

"A war no one even likely remembers. It's one of those things that really hits home about the passage of time. Hm - Over there." Moore says with a gesture. "I'm not sure what it is, so let's be on guard."

He will keep going, nonetheless!

[Anastasia]

It is a man. A man clad in dull, light less armor and with a shining bright sword. He also carries a shield. He's large, perhaps six feet and change, and likely built powerfully based on the armor. He flies on an intercept, seemingly fearless of the sheer power that comes his way.

[Nephrite]

"I admit some surprise..." Moore says as he continues on to meet this brave person!

I'm guessing nothing discerning about him, but K:P for 118 in case it does register as anything!

[Anastasia]

Doesn't ring a bell. His armor's just not enough to go on, it's not terribly showy or with any tells.

"He's either a fool or formidable," Kaja growls, "Which do yo think it is?"

"He's not a fool," Xandra steps forward, "Do not challenge this one lightly. His walks with war."

"Walks with war?" Kaja questions back, "Good." He starts to smile.

[Nephrite]

Moore will stop once they're about 400 feet from each other, unless something else happens earlier!

He's curious if they're going to introduce themselves or just attack them!

[Anastasia]

At 1000ft away the figure begins to rush forward, a gleaming blur of light and movement.

"That's not an introduction," Kaja smiles even more, scimitars out.

[Nephrite]

We are here to put a permanent end to this creature.

He may as try the honest approach!

Not sure if this calls as Diplomacy, but if so, Take 10 for 137.

Your only answer is for him to charge faster. It's a fight!
