The duty to live

[Anastasia]

"It's a lot to grow into," Syala seconds, going for a pastry herself. "The support of friends and allies is essential. A single, lone deity is a rock in the ocean, one point of strength against all the eternal hunger of the waves." A little bite of it before she puts it aside, "Don't go it alone."

"There's so much to do," Queen remarks before, "Thank you, Alicia. I have you to help me." she meets your eyes at this and smiles warmly, "Everything's become so much better thanks to you."

[Ebiris]

"I've been blessed to have Syala support me all this time," Alicia gestures with her glass towards her wife. "Even if we can't be quite as close as that, we'll do all we can to help you and your new realm prosper with us."

[Anastasia]

Syala leans in and gives you a quick kiss on the lips, "Really though, there are plenty of people willing to help you. Choose the right ones and nurture those friendships. They'll do more to help you along than anything else." Your wife scoots over to be at your side and rests her head on your shoulder, ar arm around you.

"There's more for me to learn and do," Queen agrees at that, "You yourself have so many layers and goals."

[Ebiris]

"And as these go we're one of the more straightforward groups," Alicia adds, putting one of her own arms around Syala's waist. "But you need to be constantly aware of your own goals and those of others, both how they can help you with yours and how they might see you help with theirs. And you might not always want that to happen."

[Anastasia]

"Deities are old," Syala continues on, "They're complicated because they're so old and tied into a thousand plans and angles."

As you snuggle with Syala, Queen ponders it and finally says, "To think not how a mortal thinks, but how a god thinks? It's harder than I thought, even now."

"Don't worry, we're here to help and share with you," Your wife offers, "We had plenty of learning experiences and mistakes and can help you."

[Ebiris]

"That's what this is all about," Alicia agrees. "Nevermind mortals or gods, you're a ruler. You chose the mantle of Queen and all the responsibility that comes with it."

[Anastasia]

"Then I will crush those duties," Queen agrees with that, raising her glass to a toast.

[Ebiris]

A toast is made!

Think we're pretty much done here?

[Anastasia]

Yes.

Soon enough Queen is gone. Syala lingers a moment and just looks at Alicia. A long look before, "You did see that blush?"

[Ebiris]

"Yes, I'm not blind," Alicia replies. "Hopefully she'll get over it... hmm, I remember everyone turning into lovesick children when we first visited Queen Morwel after the Androlynne campaign. I hope I can manage as gracefully as she does."

[Anastasia]

With an arm around you, "It's like a rich man finding a fortune - it's just wasted on them." Syala says with a fond smile on her face.

[Ebiris]

"Well I hope Queen can find a fortune of her own," Alicia says. "She deserves companionship and happiness after all she's been through."

[Anastasia]

"And you know what you deserve? A big, long, hot and hard...deathtrap." Syala cracks a smile at that.

Meanwhile as you banter away?

One of your prayers stand out. A Baneth of Purinn who prays, "Lady Alicia, this effort shall use the mountains near Parsifal as a safe refuge for the faithful, as you will it to be. I only ask that you protect us against the endless thread of the lizards. If it is in your power, seal this place from them."

Also you get another notable one. It's Clara again as she prays, "Alicia, bless this treasure we have found!" You see her in the lost temple's vaults, gold, jewels, magic items and far more spread out amid her and her party. "We did it!"

Clara is given a faint feeling of approval for her successes while Alicia looks into things around Baneth a bit more keenly to see where he wants to be sealed away from lizards and what dangers happen to be nearby.

[Anastasia]

It's a series of caverns he's built in and improved. It's a sanctuary that hasn't dedicated the altar yet, but otherwise it's done. It could house several dozen if need be or even be converted into a full monastery.

Looking about further, there's a few dangers. There's mountain lions and a few dire ones about, though they aren't actively hostile. You sight a flight of arrowhawks about as well, near enough to be noted. Also, about a fourth of a mile away through solid rock are thousands of shocker lizards in a vast cave system. As one they are turned towards the sanctuary, sparking with electricity as they stare ahead. Normal ones, juveniles, big ones and more developed ones yet.
