"I know none of you are going to like this, but I think you all need to put yourselves together." Moore says. "It should stabilize all of you."

[Anastasia]

There is no resistance to it. As if born to, the three become one.

Ominous.

A pause. A shift. The light of Chronias shines here, as if to beckon all home.

Before you is a field of stars. A field of stars full of darkness and light. A sun dances around them and bestows its warmth to all within the field.

Now it is a simple blob of silvery goop. It sheds a faint light, one that leaves everything the room with a metallic cast to it. It vibrates and sends out beautiful music from its body.

Finally, it becomes a pillar of solid platinum, one that reaches floor to roof, with roots that snake deep high and low. On it a single face forms, featureless and yet with sharp blue eyes. It watches you for several moments before, "Combination complete."

[Nephrite]

"Would you by any chance be the 'Anathem?'" Moore asks.

[Anastasia]

"I do not know what I am." Is the answer, voice strong but not projected at all. Masculine.

[Nephrite]

"Do you have the memories of the parts that you're ultimately made up of?" Moore asks.

It's become a composite, self contained system. You could break it apart with your will.

"I have fragments and fragments of the system I have touched," Is the answer.

[Nephrite]

Well, he's certainly not going to do that.

"Hmm... well, let's start with the basics." Moore says. "I'd like to call you something - all your other names were colors... and PRISM is a combination of those... do you have a preference as to a name? Actually... do you have a 'will'?"

[Anastasia]

"I have a will. It is also a fine name. Call me Will." The pillar responds.

[Nephrite]

"I can do that, Will." Moore says. "So... let's see. Do you know what the 'Anathem' is? Or... do you know if this was the Empty Knight's ultimate goal with all of you?"

[Anastasia]

"I do not," Will answers, "I know of your realm. It is a fascinating thing to touch."

[Nephrite]

Moore smiles. "There's a lot of interesting things in Creation. So... hm. Can you tell me what you can do, now? It seemed like each of your individual parts were created for slightly different things and could do slightly different things."

[Anastasia]

"I do not know. I am learning." Is the answer. "What is a system? It doesn't matter what it is, does it? Systems change and my components changed. The Empty Knight is likely gone or dead from the way you speak. I will become and I will learn and I will sleep and I will become again."

[Nephrite]

"He's not... gone, exactly." Moore says. "I think he's still in Creation. I was actually told in my journey to find all of you individual parts that I'd run across him, but... all we ran across was Synic, who I don't think is the Empty Knight." Moore says.

"But you're right, there are a lot of systems that change." Moore says. "I'm happy to help you learn, or to help your growth however you'd like."

[Anastasia]

"The system may have changed, or you did not recognize it," Will remarks. "Or your source was mistaken."

[Nephrite]

"You're not wrong." Moore says. "Maybe the Empty Knight was the wyrm all along? Or perhaps the dragon? Hm, or maybe it was Syllen...? Eh, it doesn't matter." He shrugs with a smile. "Anything is possible. Regardless, right now we're worrying about you. So what do you -want- to do with your newfound will?"
