It's also good as confirmation that Imix wasn't the guilty party. Though to say falsely implicated when Alicia only had a very threadbare supposition linking him is perhaps overstating things.

Meanwhile Marie doesn't do much other than give Lysanderoth a bit of an encouraging sensation. Just knowing that someone's in your corner can count for a lot when you're training hard. She sees his effort and respects it!

On Lysanderoth works, pushing further and further. He doesn't flag with your support, fighting onward all the while.

"Hm," Jessica bows her head, "Yes, Kossuth contacted me just before he contacted you. I don't know how he discerned Imix's innocence, but I believe it to be beyond reproach."

"He must have been approached separately by the Queen of Air and Darkness and verified it himself with Imix? Honestly as the deity of Fire he probably felt the blaze that immolated the frozen trees. But if he has any deeper insight into who was responsible he's not sharing," Alicia says.

[Anastasia]

"That would make it too easy," A grimace from Jessica, "Far too easy. So it was someone trying to harm either us, the Queen, Imix, Fire or some combination of those. That eliminates almost none of Creation, sister."

[Ebiris]

"The fact is we have no leads, by the time we became aware of the problem all the physical and magical evidence had evaporated," Alicia is more sanguine about it. "We just have to let this one go unless more evidence drops in our laps."

[Anastasia]

"I suppose Fire's a dead end, for now," Jessica admits at that.

[Ebiris]

"For now," Alicia agrees. "If whoever did this is wise they'll never repeat it or talk about it and it'll remain a mystery forever."

[Anastasia]

"If," Jessica agrees.

It's not long after that you notice something - events in Daun begin to move, forces gather against the aboleths. A battle is coming. For the sea monsters push and an effort to push them away from the shores, away from towns held and away from footholds has begun.

She'll check in on Strength of Light and, barring strategic considerations that demand his presence elsewhere, try and have him move towards the impending flashpoint.

He's the leader on the ground of course, and working in tandem with Sulia and others, Alicia is just using her own insight over War to help direct his presence for greatest effect.

[Anastasia]

You feel the coming tides of war. You feel it gathering - and with a certainty, you can tell this will be no small battle.

Strength of Light reports that they can indeed spare forces towards that, as you command.

Then that's what they'll do. She'll check in with Sulia too.

I feel the tide of war rising on Daun. The next few days will be critical.

[Anastasia]

Events come to an initial peak. My forces report that Cape Vital may be the linchpin of this battle.

It all feels right. Cape Vital is a cape and big trading hub, currently held by the Seagreen Empire, one of the lackey land empires of the aboleths. Its loss would hurt the aboleth cause for sure. Recent advances have pushed back the Seagreen Empire somewhat, making it assailable if dangerous, and yet tempting due to its value.

That's what it looks like to me as well. I won't be committing anything further unless there's extreme escalation from the other direction, lets hope our side can deliver the win.
