Antenora and Sulia keep guard as you destroy. It doesn't take too much effort - the explosions did a lot, and chunks and hunks collapse from all the damage done, between the balors and this. It's crumbling before your eyes, the vile works within handled.

[Ebiris]

Marie animates some objects out of the debris just to grind things down a bit more while Alicia retrieves their captives from the initial incursion.

Our part is done, Lathander. We're departing now.

[Anastasia]

A sense of acknowledgement, little else.

He is busy after all.

Good enough. Marie lowers her dimensional block on the area at the same time as Alicia opens a gate, while Antenora and Sulia help chivvy their captives through to Sylica along with them, fleeing the scene.

Sweet air fills your lungs as you return. It smells better, it's warmer, everything feels right.

Antenora exhales, "What an irritating battle," she remarks, "Is everyone well?"

[Ebiris]

Back to normal size now, Alicia sends their prisoners to Penance where they can be confined until such a time as they can be trusted to wander Creation freely without bringing harm to others.

"Quite well," she says to Antenora after that, remotely observing Dust and Lathander's battle with Demogorgon now if she's able. "I was surprised that it was full of so many balors, I was expecting more unique dust-aspected horrors."

"I liked," Marie begins as she appears on the opposite side of the group from her projected image who now vanishes, "It well enough. No one came close to bothering me."

Alicia also stops making Sulia her familiar now, the benefits fading along with their temporary empathic link.

[Anastasia]

"I did notice them using dust, but your spell countered it," Sulia remarks, "Perhaps Demogorgon expected enemy action somehow?"

[Ebiris]

"They might not have been its usual contingent," Alicia agrees. "It doesn't make up for our losses on Daun but at least it makes a difference somewhere."

[Anastasia]

"It's a consolation prize," Antenora agrees, "But a fine one."

"It lets Demogorgon know we won't roll over," Sulia concurs, "So a worthy effort."

[Ebiris]

By the way was I able to view the Lathander/Demogorgon clash?

[Anastasia]

You peer. Lathander wields sunlight to blast Demogorgon, which only seems to push him back. Black waters and fury batter back the dawn, the two locked in struggle - but you can tell. Lathander has begun to fall back, giving in to set up a retreat.

"It's been fun!" Lathander calls back, "But our time has run out and you couldn't even protect a brick down there." The sun deity grins ear to ear, "Try harder next time!"

[Ebiris]

"Lathander's done with his part," Alicia adds. "Though we'd better watch out for reprisals to come against Sylica or our other interests, it was still worth doing."

[Anastasia]

"Then until next time - I have a post battle to oversee," Empress Sulia agrees, "We lost on Daun, but we fight on."

[Ebiris]

"It was one battle, not the war," Alicia agrees positively, seeing her off.

It was a very important battle, though.
