Nephrite

"So what do you two think?" He asks. "Am I just overthinking it and I should make my way over there by jumping across like a normal person would? No flying?"

Anastasia

"I believe," Cresiel says, "That the scripture spoke of the previous challenge, not the challenge ahead. Reflection, not future advice."

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Moore rubs his chin. "I suppose that makes sense too." He says with a nod. "A salient point to be made after a lesson to sum it up."

Either way, Moore goes over and looks across, intending to just jump across each platform as needed - no flying and no magic if not necessary.

Anastasia

Give me a acrobatics check.

Nephrite

Take 10 for 94, assuming he can indeed take 10 on it. If not, then:

[22:30] <Nephrite> roll 1d20+84 taking 10 if possible even if this is higher
[22:30] <Penuche> Nephrite invokes Penuche's magic: < 102 > [d20=18]

Anastasia

It's simple hops and skips. You feel like you'll have no trouble making it across each gap.

Surely there's more to it than that...?

Regardless, Moore will continue to take each one, careful as he goes.

Anastasia

Six more checks real quick?

If he can take 10 on them, then 94.

[22:54] <Nephrite> roll 6#1d20+84 taking 10 if possible even if this is higher
[22:54] <Penuche> Nephrite invokes Penuche's magic: < 103, 94, 91, 86, 88, 98 >

Anastasia

It's not hard to jump over - but when you reach the last, you promptly bounce off midway, as if you hit a rubber wall, and land back on the platform you were on before.

Let's look for magic!

Take 10 for 114 on Spellcraft, 119 on K:A, is it a wall of force or something similar?

Anastasia

CL on whatever's your scanning spell of choice?

[12:31] <Nephrite> roll 1d20+37
[12:31] <Penuche> Nephrite invokes Penuche's magic: < 45 > [d20=8]

Not sure if you needed a check or just the level - but it's 37.

Anastasia

Nothing. You don't detect any magic at all.

Moore gestures, and while he certainly could do this the direct way, that isn't very fun at all.

Using alter reality to create some paint or something similar that he can lob at the wall - he's basically going to look for an opening in it by trying to 'see' what's invisible. If that's even possible, anyway.
