Alyssa tries to impose her will on the area, focusing on her domains of Knowledge and Magic, to reveal the purpose and use of the pillar.

"If an elder titan made this," It's Emily who speaks up, as she hovers well above the tower. "It's said they're some of the mightiest beings in Creation short of the divine. It may be that we can't force it, even as we are now."

"I've heard stories," Bastian admits, "Are they that strong?"

"Yes," Emily says right away, "Strong and stronger than you imagine."

"Hm. Well, I guess then it's back to simple studying, then, unless anyone has ideas."

Alyssa approaches closer to study it to figure out what to do with it.

Legend Lore doesn't work - it's being flagrantly blocked in particular, it seems. At least in regards to the tower.

Alyssa chuckles, "Well, there's something blocking Legend Lore, specifically."

Alyssa considers the magic she can see and how it flows around the pillar, trying to figure out the magic has an action or something it's keyed to.

It's woven skillfully into the pillar itself.

"That's not that big a surprise," Emily admits, "Whomever did this did so to keep it secret - but strange our basic analysis spells aren't blocked."

"Hmm... Think there might be a spell key? Something like that hints to it... A basic spell that would be overlooked by those arrogant in their power?"

Alyssa tries to mentally work the lower level spells into the pillar's magic to see if anything might fit in.
