"Finally," Emily says, "I've been very curious from what I've heard already."

Instead, Chrona 42 rises. "It is a hands on lesson below," The Inevitable declares, "Far more entertaining than more lecture."

You step down - and the sounds of Mechanus intensify. Clicking, whirring. All around you now are the gears of Mechanus, clockwork moving about internally, greats great and small alike towards some unknown purpose.

"I remember when Auntie Antenora took me to Mechanus," Emily murmurs, mostly to herself.

"She has lovely taste," Chrona concurs, "But not the point at hand. If we may? Stop here and sense. See if you can discern it."

Alyssa does as asked, attempting to sense the flow of time, maybe?

"Yes, a rather annoying bit of custom work he did," Chrona agrees, "The spell you copied is of more interest. A slight evolution of Detect Temporal Position, but sufficient for your needs."

"Never thought I'd see that," Bastian says, his focus dead ahead. "It feels strange."

"That's because you're not used to it," Chrona asserts, "Chronomancy is as natural as any other school of magic."

Alyssa nods, "And so the spell required to correct it?"

[Anastasia]

"Normally a proper dispel would do, or the right counter spell. But in this case it's anchored, so we have to find the source of it," Chrona explains, "After you."
