In essence, it's a magical item. Meant to manipulate time, it's not actually here. It's about 10 seconds before the Absolute Present, and kept in sync by magic. The spell work's unstable now and as a result it's causing these problems.

"Would it be better to try to resync this? Or simply negate it altogether?"

[Anastasia]

"Destroy it." Chrona 42 says immediately, "It's too degraded without extensive chronomancy, and the point is to not use it whenever possible. But...your attempts to repair it would be instructive. Feel free to try."

Alyssa studies the magic around the sphere to figure what spell would best work.

[Anastasia]

Emily joins you as Bastian watches, arms crossed. "Not my field, but I might learn something," he admits.

Spellcraft and K:A both, both with a +2 bonus thanks to Emily aiding.

What it really needs is time with a capable magical artisan who knows what to do. In lieu of that, a miracle spell or a wish might be enough to patch it up for awhile. It's really just in bad shape and needs more than most single cast spells can provide.

As a deity of magic you can probably fudge it more than well enough with a wish or miracle, though.
