Remdos grumbled. "If I had indeed declined, I bloody well wouldn't be here at all, now would I?"

Sighing, he looked for a free seat as he continued. "Well, seeing as I am here, care to fill me in on the details of anything I need to catch up on since your headache inducing summons?"

Nirae cursed, quite colorfully, as she took stock of her injuries.

It was pretty bad, but still, in all the time she'd spent sailing on the Dragon Wing with Rackham, she'd been in worse shape.

So thinking, she dug her needle and thread out of her map case and set to sewing up the worse of the gashes on her legs and arms.  Sure it hurt like hell, but it was a damn sight better than bleeding to death.

Bandages torn from the canvas sheeting she carried served to staunch the bleeding from her chin and neck, until she could get better healing.

With a sigh, she looked up at Rackham, grinning wryly.

"Looks like it's us against the world again, hey, old friend?"

Arkanel informed Remdos and Jeremiah of the trip here and conversations along the way, taking great pleasure in mentioning the inept handling of the wolves.

Lafiel returned through the kitchen door, holding a pyramid object, about two feet on each side.  The tip was the color of a dull red duby.

She placed it on the table in front of Akranel.

He looked at Daggedal and held forth the rod he had received from the girl earlier.

"This can be used one of two ways.  There's a button here, at the bottom," he showed the button, "Or one of the chosen can think for it to be activated and it will.  The rod will transport up to four people to the place the pyramid sits."

He placed the rod upon the table.

Nirae slowly binds her wounds, stopping the bleeding and preparing for the some much needed natural healing.

"Wait, can you explain the magic bit then?" Remdos asked after hearing the tale of what he'd missed. "Does it affect any usage of magic, including magical items, or just people trying to use it by zapping them with a headache?"

While Remdos didn't want to have to be using his bow's magical attack in the first place, not having the option to use it would be a hindrance if the need truly came up, and worse, he didn't want to risk wasting a light arrow on testing it's usability.

Clara returned, bringing a bottle of a brown liquid with her.  She placed it and another goblet in front of Arkanel.

He poured a healthy portion of it and drank it in one gulp.

Turning to Remdos, he said, "I don't know.  But his," pointing to O'karn, 'bit black sword was glowing.  So I guess magic constructs work."

Relieved, (but not showing it), Rackham squatted next to Nirae and grasped his white robe with both hands, ripping it.  He then proceded to make bandages and handed them over to Nirae.  "Here, I suspect this will work better than canvas."

He then pulled his backback from his shoulders, and rummaged through it, and finally pulled out a flask with a red liquid.  "Drink this in small sips, I suspect we'll be needing every drop in the future."

Rackham also pulled out his cloak and put that on.

Rackham and Nirae get no breaks...

Why, oh why wasn't I born rich?

Nirae sniffed it, recognizing a healing draft, and took down a few sips with a grimace.

At least it was a alchemcic draft and not a magical one.

She supposed, using Rackham's robe-bandages to bind up her stitched wounds.

"Hmm. Ah see. Thank ye."

Daggedal looks over at the maps and makes a note to study them in a moment.

"IF I cannae cast spells, mae'swell wear some armour. Orkanel, are there any 'smiths you ken reccomend fer me?"

Finished with her portion, Miaka sighed in content. "If onyl Tamahome could be here to share this bliss with me," she murmured wistfully.

Looking at Daggedal, Arkanel responds, "Ashitaka is the best iron working in the city, and Terrance is the best clothier.  They are both located in the market district, perhaps they could see to your needs."

Nirae felt better as she drank from the bottle.  The few sips enough to start the mending of her jaw.  It was still sore, but she felt most of the bones were in the correct place now.

Rackham eyed Nirae with a critical eye.  "Here, sip some more."

Satisfied that she was not going to die on him anytime soon, Rackham went about ensuring that the three wolves he kill had their throats slit enough to allow the blood to drain.  He glanced the other two Nirae had killed, but out of respect ignored them.  Rackham then begain doing an intent search for a stone or rock suitable enough for scrapeing, never straying far from Nirae.

Remdos nodded, thankful his bow wasn't weakened from the ordeal. If another enchanted weapon worked, so should his.

Still... "Why don't you have the people having problems with magic transported back to their world then, build or enchant some magical armor or weapons, then come back here with them, then? Wouldn't that solve the problems somewhat until you can figure a way for them to use it safely?"
