Bean Bandit

The man of shadows stared at the relm he wanted under his control with a growing sense of frustration. There would be no victory here.

Events had spiraled too far beyond his ability to influence, and his opposite's forces were unyielding. The other point he wanted, however, was weakening, with players vanishing from the board.

It was, perhaps, time to concentrate his efforts, rather than attempting to divide them.

A mere flex of his will, and his influence over the Meiji era was removed. It was time to focus his attention fully on a small planet in the future...

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The woman of light sagged slightly in relief as the pressure on her attempts to keep the Meiji era stable was suddenly lifted. She smiled grimly, knowing that her opponent was not the type to relent, and guessed his attention.

She looked down upon the people she'd gathered to stop him, and sighed. You've done so much...I have no right to ask...but...I need your help...

She nodded, her course decided, and turned her thoughts outward, reaching out to them, and touching each of their minds gently.

*Please...I beg of you...I need your help....will you answer the call?*

OOC: Allrighty. Work on this will be paused, until Omake gets going, but I will return my attention to it. If you want to continue, Just post in this thread, and 'answer' her call, Ok?

Kwokinator

Kwok practically jumped at the voice that appeared in his head.

"Call?  What call?" he asked, looking all around him to see if it was anyone nearby.

Bean Bandit

The voice sounded in Kwok's head again. *Please...save our worlds, visitors from another plane....*

This time, Kwok not only heard the words, but felt a barely discernable tug, as though shomeone was taking his hand, in an attempt to lead him somewhere.

All that was left, was to resist, or accept...

Kwokinator

Kwok considered his options as he felt the small tug.

He might be able to go home as himself right now... or if he couldn't, he'd get stuck in Miroku's body, which wouldn't be that bad except for Flamewreath, which might have a cure in his time anyway.

But if he went home, he might never seen Ami again... besides, there might be other, cuter girls wherever he might end up.

"Alright, I'm probably gonna regret it, but what the hell..." he muttered as he accepted the tug.

RyderHakubi

Ryder sat in the resturant's back, putting on her new uniform.

Sure, it's a little cheesy, but hey... money wa, money dai yo

She sighed as she remembered exactly who she learned that little quote from.

Umi-kun, I miss you...

Getting up, with the green and white uniform on, she began to walk out when she felt the call.

"What the heck?  Another distress signal?"
What sort of madness will I create today?"

Bean Bandit

The voice sounded in Ryder's head again, a despeate, soft plea. *Please...our world is in danger, and you're no longer needed on this plane...I beg you, please help us...*

Ryder felt a barely discernable tug, as though someone was taking her hand, in an attempt to lead her to where she was needed...

All that was left, was to resist, or accept...

Feeling the tug, Ryder looked out towards the resturant...

"I've done more harm than good... Kwok, I'm sorry..." Ryder muttered as she let go.
What sort of madness will I create today?"

Shukuen

Shukuen blinked at the pleading voice, pausing his examinations with the mirror. He also wondered why he had the sudden urge to throttle someone.

"...why do I suddenly feel cheated...?" he muttered silently to himself, though why was he bothering was beyond him.

Crossing his arms, he glanced to the ceiling, and spoke in a soft, yet clear voice. "So that's it? After everything, you want us to just abandon this world?" he demanded, his lip firm in annoyance. "You... whoever or whatever you are, put us here for a reason. And until whatever that mission is, I won't abandon it until it is completed.

Bean Bandit

The answer was gentle, and sad. *I understand, Shukuen. I've asked a great deal of you to come here, and now it must seem as though I'm asking you to abandon your mission. But he who I brought you here to stop has left this time and place, to concentrate on another...Without your help, the fabric of the multiverse may be torn beyond repair...I beg of you...please help us save these worlds...*

Shukuen

Shukuen blinked, not quite expecting that kind of answer. He pondered the new information for some time, before breaking the silence. "...so, if the mission was to defend against 'he who you brought me here to stop', and since he left, I guess this mission isn't over then," he hmm'ed, then nodded to himself. "All right, since the location has changed, I guess this recruit will move to the next field," he said, accepting the call.
