Siggy Madness! (or, C-chan's Sig Art Portfolio ^_^)

Recent events (read, a virtually non-stop anime marathon the past week ^_^) have inspired me to create anime-based sigs. Why? Well, for one thing, I needed a sig in the first place. After I started, I got to enjoy it, so I kept on making more and more, eventually spending most of my online time hunting for pics to use. It kinda got out of hand. ^_^

Is sig-making an art? I think so. Though I'm just a glorified pixel pusher and not a 'real' artist like V-kun, I like to think that doing this takes a lot of creativity. Just take a look at some of our resident houshi's work -- Merc's sigs (those he actually created himself; he's being lazy nowadays) are a work of art. Whether I match up to that is up to all of you.

Anyway, I've rambled long enough. It's time to post the sigs. Only four for now, but there're more coming, you can be sure. Oh, and if you want to use one of my sigs (elsewhere, since SR doesn't allow sigs) then you're welcome to, as long as you ask permission first and credit me everytime you do. ^_^

Thanks! Merc did comment on one of my sigs (the first one), and that sort of had something to do with my going overboard on the sig-making. Anyway, I've got two more new ones. ^_^

I'm not being -that- lazy. With the exception of my current sig and one that was a gift from Ra-chan, every single sig I've ever used was made by me. Besides, I've been recently playing with banners/buttons/weblayouts lately. =p

Regarding signatures, I personally do think of sig-making as an artstyle. Probably, the closest style it fits is the collage, as we're merging various ready-made artistic elements into something original that we can call our own. At the same time, we're also either parodying or paying homage to the original artist. Sometimes both.

Anyhow, on your sigs, I like 'em all. They're nice and small, but convey a sense of style that I sometimes find myself having trouble squeezing into similarly sized sigs.
