The Slayers Quest

[Merc]

"Eeeek!" the fat rich man screams with wide eyes as the weakened flare arrow impacts against him, turning him into a blackened mass with huge eyes. He coughs a bit of smoke, then falls to the ground unconscious as the others continue to enjoy the dragon cuisine.

[Corwin]

Lina doesn't even register Ralcyon's arrival, as she devours generous portions of shabu shabu and sukiyaki before moving on to the other courses. She closes her eyes briefly in ecstasy, and then resumes eating happily.

[Merc]

An hour and 15 minutes later, Lina and the others pat their satisfied stomachs after the desserts. How you could make dessert out of meat was hard to understand, but the sugary Dragon Pie hit the spot to finish the cuisine off. They'd tasted every single dish that Ashford knew to make and could in the time they finished the whole dragon off.

Ashford smirks, happy to have such satisfied 'customers'. He'd outdone himself in this day even.

[Corwin]

"Ah, that hit the spot," Lina drawls out, stretching in her chair. Finally noticing the charred Ralcyon, she asks, "Who's that guy?"

Zelgadis smirks. "That would be our host, Ralcyon. He's the one who kidnapped Mr. Ashford, and caused all this trouble."

[Corwin]

"You couldn't wait for the food and cooked him, Zel-chan?" she asks coyly.

[thepanda]

Amelia licks the last of the sauce from her plate, only turning to the man Lina indicated after there was nothing left.

"Um..."

Zelgadis grins and moves over to slap Ralcyon awake. "Lina, may I introduce Mr. Ralcyon. Mr. Ralcyon, Lina Inverse. Now, we were just discussing how you were going to compensate us for our troubles." Zelgadis turns to the crispy fat man and says in a threatening tone of voice, "Wouldn't you agree..."

[Merc]

Ralcyon groans as he is brought back to the land of the living by Zel's 'caring' treatment.

"You blew up my mercenaries and wrecked my home!" he cries out. "I don't see where you had any trouble at all!"

[Corwin]

"We gave up on a very profitable quest just to rescue Mr. Ashford and our Dragon Cuisine," Lina says offhandedly. "But that's not important. What is important is that you stole my food." She frowns with disapproval. "That wasn't nice."

[thepanda]

"I'm sure Mr Ashford would like to be compensated for the troubles you put him through, too," Amelia says, basking in the heavenly after glow of the Dragon Cuisine feast.

Zelgadis says offhandedly to Ralcyon, "I do believe you have no idea how much trouble you're in..." Zelgadis inwardly smirks at the beads of sweat appearing on the fat man's forehead.

"Fighting all your mercenaries was a fun way to build up an appetite before the meal, though," Gourry offers cheerfully.

"Besides, coming here to win back our Dragon Cuisine was much better than going to the desert for some bandit treasure. I don't think any treasure in the world could taste as good as Dragon Cuisine!" he says to Lina.

[Corwin]

"Don't interrupt me when I'm threatening someone!" Lina snaps at Gourry, before returning her attention to Ralcyon. "Normally, I'd ask you for a small peace offering so that I wouldn't have to punish you." She sighs. "But we've already found your safe, so that won't do here." Lina pretends to think about this in depth.

Gourry shrinks away from Lina, suitably cowed by her yelling, and offers a pitying look towards Ralcyon.
