The Slayers Quest

[Corwin]

"Now, you won't do something stupid like kidnapping poor Mr. Ashford and other people's Dragon Cuisine again, will you?" she asks sweetly, propping her chin on her fists.

[Merc]

"Heh," the vampire snorts. "Considering I died on the job, I'd imagine I'm also out of said job. So no, I won't be getting involved in kidnapping cooks and dragon cuisine anymore."

[Corwin]

"That's great!" Lina exclaims, patting him on the shoulder. "Start over! Do goo-- scratch that. Be good!"

Tilting her head, she continues, "And since you won't be heading down the wrong path again, I'm sure you wouldn't mind telling little ol' me where your old boss is hiding his treasure, right? He must be punished for what he did, after all." She shakes her head. "Greed. How terrible it is to see it these days."

[Merc]

The vampire snorts at the girl's attitude. She -had- taken him down, rather easily too, to his annoyance, so he had some amount of respect for her and the other girl. Still, he couldn't be of real help on her last question.

"He keeps some of his wealth in a safe over at his room, but that's mostly for show. It'd be insane to keep all your money where mercenaries and monsters can see it, after all. Don't even think this is his main home really. You'd have to shake him up if you want more than what's there."

[Corwin]

Lina nods. "I'll have to find out how Gourry punished him, anyway. Well, take care. And if you see Amelia, Ceipheed help you."

Lina heads back to the dining room to check up on Gourry and Ralcyon.

[Merc]

Loras shakes his head at the departing figure of the redhead. "Ah well, time to sleep again," he says, turning to go back at his coffin. A very burned coffin. "Dammit, I'm going to have to see about buying a new one somehow."

Putting off the remaining fire, he gets into the closet and shuts the door behind him.

Lina quickly returns to the dining hall to find a satisfied Gourry, a sobbing Ralcyon, a smirking Ashford, and Amelia being...well, Amelia-ish.

"...And if you keep these ideals close to heart, even the most evil man can be converted to the side of Good. You want to be Good, right Mr Ralcyon?" Amelia finishes her speech just as Lina enters again.

[Corwin]

Lina heads straight to Ralcyon. "Have you been punished?" she asks expectantly.

[Merc]

Ralcyon sobs, "He's making me take on a dragon!"

Ashford adds for the man, "And I'll train and train him until we've got the fat out of him. I'll make a decent dragon hunter out of him!"

Ralcyon's sobbing grew at that, as his thoughts begin to focus on all the work he'll have to do.

[Corwin]

Lina nods to that. "Sounds quite a task. You'll need someone to watch over your real main house, right?" she asks casually.

[Merc]

Ralcyon sniffles out, "I already have people to do th..."

He pauses and looks up and asks, "Wait, how do you know about that?" with tears still in his eyes.

[Corwin]

"I am psychic," she responds with a straight face. "Sometimes, I get visions of the future." Suddenly, she grabs her forehead. "Wait! I'm getting one now! It's your main house, and it's--"

[Merc]

"What! What! What's happening to my house?" the man pleads nervously.

[Corwin]

"It's on fire!" Lina exclaims, removing her hand from her forehead in a sharp motion, and waving it in the air. "A beautiful red-haired sorcery genius blows it up!"

[Merc]

"Oh no! How do I stop h....her," Ralcyon begins to ask fearfully before realizing who he's talking to. "Eeep!"

"You guys said I was already being punished!" he cries out.
