O'karn grunts, "We go now."

Lifting the child with one hand he unceremonially slung the kid along his shoulders.  "If trap, you both die."

“Then let us hope it isn’t a trap,” Arael mutters, moving out of the ogre’s reach. She ponders the items granted to her companions and herself, but decides that, perhaps, now is not such a good time to mention them.

“Devon, lead the way back?”

Devon nods and heads beack towards the cliff.

Daggedal starts following, albeit with some unease. His suspicious eyes flicker everywhere, trying to spot a trap..

Miaka heads back as well, staying next to Arael.

O'karn follows, satisfied that Miaka is within strangle reach.

The group reaches the cliff, looking at the beautifully setting sun, they realize that by the time they descend, it will be dusk or later.

“Perhaps we should wait until tomorrow to return. I’d rather not be traveling at night, all the same.”

[Corwin]

"But there's something I need to do in the morning," Miaka protests, pouting. "I can't do it if I'm not there. Besides, wouldn't it be safer to sleep indoors?"

“While I’m certain you and I could make it back without a problem, I doubt the others can claim the same.”

[Corwin]

"Well, they got up here okay, didn't they?" Miaka asks innocently. "It's even faster to get down!"

[thepanda]

“Sure it is, if you think you can survive the jump.” Arael gestures to the ogre. “But if you’re carrying someone and not particularly resistant to gravity it will take a bit longer.”

[Corwin]

"Then...." Miaka fishes for words. "Then you could carry that poor boy! I'll help, too!"

[thepanda]

“That applies to use as well. Just getting Devon up here was a drain. I won’t even think about trying that with him,” Arael says, indicating O’Karn.
