Carth's magical adventure, ROUND TWO, MOTHERFUCKERS!

[Anastasia]

"Nuclear war is the one thing everyone feared, from the magical to the mundane," Rachel starts suddenly. "Oh, sure, the greatest archmagi might be able to cook up a survival plan and a God wouldn't be injured even by the biggest nuclear weapon, but for everyone else, it's the nightmare.

Now...it could be starting?" Rachel looks down. "I don't know if I want to praise Selena for being away from there or cry for Earth."

[Carthrat]

"The folly of men is beyond the gods," replies Carthrat, quietly.

[Anastasia]

Rachel nods, agreeing. "Yes. Life will go on elseware, I'm sure, but...even if I found another life on another world, home would still be a crater."

[Carthrat]

"I could quote more platitudes," replies Carthrat, "But.. I don't really have anything to say. It's more terrifying before the war, but afterwards.. it leaves a hole in the heart, I know.

We can hope.. and I suppose some of us can pray."

[Anastasia]

"That's all I can do right now," Rachel sighs. "I'm not worried about the souls of the slain should it happen, but it's a small relief. To see an entire world ruined..."

[Carthrat]

Carthrat bows his head. "The entire world won't be wasted. But enough of it will that unless somebody does something about it, people won't survive there."

[Anastasia]

"Would someone," she asks simply. "You say there are many groups watching Earth....?"

[Carthrat]

"Someone will," replies Carthrat. "Then someone else will make an accusation. Then something will try and kill someone, and people will start up a way here."

He spits on the ground. "I wonder why individuals say they hate way, yet people get caught up in it so much. They should at least be honest with themselves."

[Anastasia]

Rachel sits on the couch. "That's a small relief, despite it all."

[Carthrat]

"Well. I've got another surprise for you," says Carthrat. "We're leaving here. Today."

[Anastasia]

"What? Really?" Rachel asks, perking up a bit. "Where to? Why?"

[Carthrat]

"Don't know where, because I don't wanna be here when someone decides something should be done about Earth, and decides to use this conveniantly located joint as a base," replies Carthrat.

[Anastasia]

"Yeah," Rachel nods. "I guess so. When are you going to get the tickets, then, and how much will they set us back?"

[Carthrat]

"Tir is getting them. And paying for them," replies Carthrat. "Not that we're strapped for cash, anyway."

[Anastasia]

Rachel looks up a bit more brightly at that. "Are we going with him," she asks next.
